Portraits are hard! If you can paint portraits, you can definitely paint water. It's all in fitting the patterns together.

Joe, I swear you get better and better. I wish I'd been taught your translucent/reflective colour theory as a youngster.

The new full videos Joe has created on the superpeer site are incredible. The demos and detailed explanations pretty much guarantee you will be successful if you follow his instructions. His talent and confidence level are best illustrated by the fact that he includes requests from his live audience as part of his teaching. If you find that hard to believe watch the two recent videos on utilizing values where he adds, on the fly, a demo for glazing and for creating water droplets on flowers. Thank you Joe!

@@catholic3dod790 I needed darker water to make the reflections and sky look brighter. The first color looked more like daytime Caribbean water.
