Wow, it looks amazing! Honestly, I haven't highlight my models yet, I feel I have to get better in maintaining my brushes better. Thank you, this commander turned out great and I surprised myself ha I do actually reccomend using a seperate brush for highlighting as a brush used for everything is not going to be good for anything. for highlighting I stick to a small layer brush or size 0 depending on what brushes you use. rember you have those spare bits in the box, make use of them to practice your hghlighting. When I get the chance and time I do want to do some tau infantry, but thats gonna be a while ha good luck with the combat patrol, make sure to take your time and enjoy it

When doing the brown glaze, I actually recommend going back and forth a time or two with the brown and white. This smooths out the blend and lets you get it just right. And when you get the glaze on your brush, wipe some off on a wet paper towel. That'll keep you from applying too much.

Kinda focused on Tyranids but the Tau i really like, the only Chapter I'd get are The Salamanders but can't really find any so I'm focusing on Tyranids for now. The Tau would be next but with their orange colour scheme. But your paint scheme and execution is gorgeous and making the battle suit white is a lot easier tbf.

I'm working on my Tyranids at the moment. I love painting them, so different to everything else. Imperial fists are my chapter and I really want to do some Aeldari soon. You could use Orange as an accent colour rather than a main colur. you could swap out the grey or the red for it and still do the white armour :)

Lovely work! I really hope you do some Age of Sigmar stuff soon. I'd also enjoy seeing how you'd do Biel-Tan Eldar. You have a real knack for painting white armor.

Grey Seer is a really good spray and goes down very easily. If you struggle to undercoat your miniatures go and watch my undercutting miniatures tutorial, I go through everything that I do when spraying. Yes I used Corax white for the base colour, croaky white is also really easy to use and goes down really well :D

have any tips to paint yellow tau? with classic citadel color? (no contrast)

painting Tau is pretty much the same as painting marines. Go check out my imperial fist tutorial and flash Gitz mega armour tutorial for some ideas

Looks Great! I wish i could do something similar but i've already failed at step one. Since i'm new to the hobby i've asked for some advice at the local store regarding painting and they've said that i should use Vallejo white instead of Grey Seer or White Scar for priming and the result was terrible, i ended up with a grainy uneven surface that was visible even after 2 layers of paint, now i've gotta find out how to strip an entire Combat Patrol.... I don't know if i've just got a faulty product or white primers are just this bad generally but it feels as if the paint dried even before hitting the miniatures and it leaves white dust on my hand when i touch it.

Regardless of what we use to prime or undercoat, its always a good idea to learn how to use these products, especially spraying. I have a couple of videos now talking about using sprays which may help you. Its tough to strip a model and its not always neccessary as our paints a very thin anyway. You will probably need to give your miniature a sand with a very fine grit sand paper, something like 2000 grit. its should help get rid of that texture If your getting a dusty finish, its likly the spray hasn't been shaken up enough or it is too hot and humid when spraying causing the paint to dry before hitting the miniature. The new White Scar spray is amazing and is very forgiving and I really reccomend it. just make sure its shaken up properly, do this for 2 minutes atleast. the can needs to be atleast room temperture as well. spray from a distance the same lenght as your formarm and kee the can moving as you spray to stop it building up keep practicing, I still get it wrong so don't worry. I know its disheartening but keep going

Honestly the custodes aren’t too bad, especially if your doing the gold scheme. Your basically letting the wash do all the work for you. The steps and order I painted mine in the tutorial is the best way I found. The toughest detail to get is on the staff, so just take your time and be as neat as you can when doing them.

Do you use the corax white to paint all of the armor over the grey seer or just use the corax white for fixing mistake?

Corax white is used for the base colour of the armour, so it's used all over

A shade is not great for creating glazes. The pigment is too loose and has a more glossy finish. 👌🏻 you can try it you try using it 😁 you may prefer it

This video is a great example of how crappy the coverage is with both Abaddon Black and Mephiston Red. One coat looks more like Contrast! Great video, though. Makes me want to paint!

You have to remember that they have been thinned down. Acrylic paints are never gonna have the best coverage either. A couple of layers isn’t too much work and it really doe give you better results.

Why cant the queens people call it paper towels. I counted 7 different things in my kitchen that were rolls not including any bread items
