I love your hollyhocks painting. I always think of my mother when I see them dancing in the wind! I recently snapped some photos of a stand of pinks by a busy roadside. Your painting has given me inspiration to have a go at them in watercolors. Thank you. I so enjoy your painting lessons.

Beautiful, Lois. I loved it all but also how you started and created the diffused background. Thank you!

I love the way you’ve gone into negative painting and creating the flower shapes by painting around them in darker tones. I did this with laurel leaves and was pleased with the result. It’s satisfying to do!Thanks!

Hi Lois Just found you. Where do you get cotton paper. And what brands do use. Thank you for such a lovely demo.

do you need to leave the tape on until paint is completely dry to get the paper to re-flatten?

How do you sign your work? Do you only sign the back? I’ve heard different opinions about this and was curious what you do for signatures/date. Thanks

I sign and date my work on the front bottom left of right away from the focal area so it doesn't distract, but I only sign/date paintings I sell, others it never crosses my mind to do so
