Some of the techniques covered are:
Wet into wet Watercolor | Mixing and bleeding | How to focus the viewer attention by using sharp areas of focus in contrast to soft area | How to effectively use tricks to create a realistic snow effect and many others tips.

“Snow, snow beautiful!!!” ❄️😊 I love adding the splattering… It IS the fun part to adding just that right painterly bits to your painting…! I’ve also found, tapping in the middle of the brush handle makes the paint splatter pop out quicker and does quite well. 🖌️

Thoroughly enjoyed this tutorial Marty! My…aren’t you a talented fella…can you paint and play ukulele at same time? 😂… I wouldn’t be surprised. I’m going to do these sheep definitely..👍🏼

I don’t think I’ve tried both at the same time before 😂 I often find that folk who play an instrument seem to gravitate towards painting/art as well - I think it’s the creative side of our brain at work

@StormLampStudios I would agree with that. I played piano and guitar . Most of the time playing ‘by ear’ . It’s all being creative… ‘the Arts ‘ 👍🏼
For the topping technique, what is the proportion of water did you use. For my part I'm so "splashy"!! Lovely tutorial, without music and realistic speed. Thank you for sharing. Isabelle from Québec.

Hi Isabelle, if it’s the snow topping you’re referring to, I normally squeeze a little Gouache onto a plate and spray it with a little water until it’s wet enough but not too wet and not too dry then mop it up unto the brush and flick the brush off my other finger- try testing the consistency on a scrap piece of paper before committing it to your painting - hope that helps Marty
Very nice. Thank you for the demo. I just wish your camera had been closer to the artwork because it's really hard to see on the small screen on my phone. 🐑🌲❄️

I kept getting paint on the camera lens so I had to start filming at a bit of a distance :)

I rather like to see color mixing.

Thanks for your comment - it’s a hard one to get right, I use a soft pencil lead so that the paint will water it down but it makes it harder for those viewing the videos to see - a lot of folk like to be able to see the paint being mixed on the palette, which means the camera lens needs to be a little further away than I’d like - we’ll experiment to see if we can come up with a better solution to suit everyone :)

@@StormLampStudios I watch other artists who have to overcome the same problem. Some get in closer and other switch back and forth from one camera view to another. Some manage by using a split screen but others have just figured out a precise location for everything to try to accommodate All of it in one shot. But the bottom line is that as informative as it is to see the mixing of the colors, the big action occurs on the paper and if I can't see it well on my small screen I tend to move on to another channel where it's easier to watch. I'm sorry that this has nothing to do with your work personally in fact I enjoy your work.
You’re fun to paint with - but now when I count sheep, they will all be dirty sheep 😜🙈

Mooi en leerzaam. Rode kleur van de signatuur vind ik wel jammer.
