How to paint Like Monet | Sunrise Impression

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Want to learn impressionist techniques of painting landscape? Hope this video will help you.
I tried to paint like Claude Monet. Claude Monet (14 November 1840 - 5 December 1926) was a French painter, a founder of French Impressionist painting and the most consistent and prolific practitioner of the movement's philosophy of expressing one's perceptions before nature, especially as applied to plein air landscape painting.

How to paint like Claude Monet? Simple. You can't. No matter how hard you try.

Monet used lead white---WHY....WHY does EVERYONE use that titanium crap these days--it’s garbage--u do good work, but WHY titanium....a few people made it in Monet’s day, but it wasn’t even in the market until the 1920’s or so.....NONE of the old masters ever used that crap going back to the Renaissance......Monet certainly didn’t. I’ve read that Pissarro messed with it a little, but his masterpieces clearly don’t use it. Man, it just perplexes me why a lot of really good painters these days use it. I used it 20 years ago when I first started out, cuz it comes in the beginners sets, but that titanium crap held me back for years, it’s so, so, so hard to blend and get edges, it bleaches out every color u add it too,,there is ZERO subtlety with titanium--if u can get it to,work for u, then more power to you, but I just hate it, cuz I spent years trying to do stuff with it that was virtually impossible, then I discovered lead white/flake white, and it was the key. I don’t know, sorry for the rant, I just hate that shit
