Spray paint is still the easiest way to paint Hot Wheels. However, the character of a wide spray and large volume, sometimes makes it difficult to get good paint results.
Many people ask how I paint Hot Wheels using spray paint with good results. In this video I will explain in detail my steps in painting Hot Wheels using spray paint.

    I bet the community is so thankfully with you for sharing these secrets and I think that making videos like this will have a great impact because almost no one share his knowledge. if you see my comment i would like to ask you some questions: 1) Do you always use cans? 2) When would you recommend to yo use an airbrush? 3) How much time do you wait to work on the widebody? Greattings from México!

    Great technique, I only use can and sometimes it can be frustrating. I tend to get paint build up but I think your pulse spraying technique can really help me eliminate that as well as warming the cans. How do you keep the nozzle from getting blocked?

  • @TolleGarage

    @TolleGarage

    Thank you. Yes painting hotwheels with spray paint is very tricky. For keep nozzle clean, honestly I do nothing...hahaha. But you can flip and spray the paint 1-2 sec after doing painting.

    Hi, are there any wet sanding done before painting? cause i tried painting mine and there is always an orange peel texture not smooth like yours, which can be seen even from the first layer of primer. or maybe industrial grade surfacer tend to do so? (sapporo, or samurai brand) compared to mr hobby's. Thanks!

    Tergantung cara pakainya sih. Tp so far saya pakai pilox baik2 aja. Cuma harus diakalin krna semburannya volumenya besar & permukaan ya luas. Kalau pakai airbrush, saya males nyiapin & beresinnya.Butuh banyak waktu.

    I am not suggesting, I am telling. For this size of painting, do a 300mm swipe LtoR and RtoL. Especially on clear coats. Clear 1swipe Matt, 2swipe Semi, 3swipe gloss. These still look good on vid.

    hi can we use any type of spray paint for the main colour? i use a paint that is paint+primer. also can you show me where to buy paint remover? and what’s the difference between candy paint and normal spray paint?

  • @TolleGarage

    @TolleGarage

    9 ай бұрын

    Sure, you can use any brand of paint as long as the paints have the same base. I mean if it lacquer use all lacquer base. If the paint is acrilic base, use all acrilic base. I bought paint remover offline, at hardware store. Candy is transparent paint. So the results will depend on the base paint, If you use candy red with a silver base, it will be metallic red. If you use white base it will be red and if you use a grey base, it will be dark red.
