How to Paint EASY Black Templars - Painting Your First Warhammer
Are you looking for an easy way of how to paint Black Templars? Starting a new army or getting into Warhammer 40k at all can be super daunting. But this tutorial is here to help you! (And also to embarrass and apologise to my friend Raff).
Everything you need to paint Black Templars Space Marines is here in the tutorial. Tbh I have to say, this is one of the quickest paint schemes that I've ever painted. You could quite easily knock out an entire army this way in no time!

i usually go varnish then pigment. otherwise the varnish will blow off the pigment. then the victory lap :D

So, you put on a black undercoat, and paint the whole thing a darker black.

Now the undercoat is black primer paint correct? And the abandon black is just regular paint that isnt a primer? Im sorry 😅

Yes. Primer is an adherent, (Chaos Black, but you can use any matte primer. Can pick up a can at Walmart) Abbadon Black is just the Black in citadels paint range. You can use Vellejos black, or other paint ranges as well, this is just what he used

With spray painting don’t underestimate how much humidity can mess things up, especially with light sprays like corax white. I hate it when I get a grainy finish! I always spray on days with 40% to 55% humidity

Matt varnish makes all metal painted areas dull. If you want shiny metal parts you need to paint them after sealing. I prefer satin varnish, applied with an airbrush which is much easier to control. Ruined several miniatures by using a jet can.
