@@HowToPaintYourCar Hi Tony. VIP here, quick question I am painting my Jeep with a tri color, base, metallic and clear. The question is if im not happy with the results after the clear was applied and dried, do I have to start with primer all over again? I am afraid that if I scuff the paint with 400 and then shoot the base it might not match the rest of the jeep. What should I do? Thanks.

@@HowToPaintYourCar I just bought a paint stripper on eBay today too gonna use it before I put this brand new paint I ordered I decided to buy two pints of paint so it would be enough and the paint stripper machine was 129 on eBay. I already have a rotary polisher and getting more other pads for that for polishing waxing I almost got everything but I don't know how far I will go with painting vehicles but I do like doing it a lot now since I started painting my truck even though am a begginer at it still and I have made mistakes also but I will learn eventually.

I would love to see the faces of the people who sold your wife that lawnmower, if you tried to return it as a prank. Store: why are you returning it? Tony: I need to see the manager, the color is ugly, doesn’t match the picture on the box. Like going to subway and order a sandwich that looks great, but when you get it, it looks nowhere near the picture. Manager: are you on drugs? That’s a better paint job than I have on my limbo or my 1967 corvette.

Great video Tony ! I have been painting since the straight lacquer & Lacquer days till now and still doing it every day ! You never to old to learn new tricks. I use all PPG & HOK products from start to finish, no paint bench chemist here. One trick I have been doing for awhile is adding DX57 (PPG) to my base & clear mixture. What I do is after the project is covered in base mix your base & clear. Say on my cup using 1 to 1 scale say 4. I put up to 2 base color then up to 4 clear, then add reducer then add the 5% DX57 hardner. This is your sprayable material, each cloat add less base then add more clear till nothing but clear, shoot it then wet sand. To me this adds more depth to the finish. This was the way we did lacquer back in the days, allow plenty of dry time between coats for evap. you know. The DX57 is a basecoat hardner & clear coat hardner. You can color sand it then add your typical clearcoats . It works great on designs, layouts, and multi layers of paint. Just a tip for all ! Paul

Hey thanks for the great paint job . Brother u make it look so easy and lay down the paint and clear so smoothly gotta give u props bro.I've been off and on painter for over 30 years and still learning everyday. So much has changed from outside in back yard paint jobs,to computer down draft boths. Misting down b4 u paint , paint in the dark so less bugs , crack the door ,leave shut, never open door when someone's painting, don't paint when humidity is to high, don't paint when to cold outside, pollion count is high dont paint. I've seen alot and experienced alot of different things while being around the painting business. Best advice I got that's real and works no matter ur price ranges, be clean as u can paint well as u can do the best u can do even if from a can paint job wet sand between costs , wipe down, taco cloth off, clear , sand between coats, start off around 1500g.up to 2500 to 3000. Buff and polish. And I promise U it will be a bad ass paint job.

Dude, thank you👍🏾 that was amazing attention to detail, and patience with explaining step-by-step with this walk-through/how-to/tricks-of-the-trade inside look at how an experienced autopaint specialist/artist does his job. No need to mention, this approach to painting can be applied to most any project(not limited to autobody applications). Kinda sh*tty feeling, is that I worked at an autobody shop that specialized in the full restoration of rust-bucket junk-yard find classic cars for years(I was their lead-sandblaster "b*znitch"), my best buddy was their lead-painter(who had a paintbooth setup in his/our garage at home as well). Well guess what; I learned more solid & valuable pointers from you in 15mins, then I did in 15 years from my roommate/childhood friend. For that, I Thank You👌🏾

Hello there. The work you do is amazing. I have a couple of questions. Why do you sand the paint between some layers of paint? What is the purpuse? How many layers do you need to apply of primer, base, paint and lacquer? Last, what do you do with your gun between applications of the same type of paint? I have seen people applying 6 layer of clear coat. If I do that and wait 15 min between layers then it will be 1.5 hrs of my gun of being loaded with the paint. Will it dry, clog? Put in the fridge? I am assuming you are not cleaning the gun after each coat. What is the rule about cleaning your gun Thankssssss

From one painting veteran to another.... Broooooo. That was on point!!! Excellent work. I'm going to try out that Atom X27. Thank you for what you do. Side Note: I haven't seen a lot of techs go the extra mile to provide a flow coat. Awesome touch.

That is a Museum Quality Show Piece! I wouldn't want to mow the yard with it... I rebuilt an old Honda motorcycle many years ago and used some original Candy Apple red paint that a friend donated to me, a total of 14 layer's from primer to final clear coat...Helmet to match! I love the candy apple look on your mower! ✌️ Thanks for the tutorial

@@ZHGAmingAllTheWay 10k is an exaggeration of how much it would cost. He's spent as much time on this lawnmower as he would spend on custom paint job on an expensive car. He's went through the same process as if he's painting a Ferrari lol. 10k paint job ☺

Simply amazing the candy was perfect on your lawn mower I painted my 96 Thunderbird I live in Gig Harbor Washington and it rains a lot I did it in 2016 and the paint is still good I did it with spray cans outside nothing below 65 humidity at 60 degrees or less never sanded primered painted or clear coated a car in my life until I did my car and it still is not flake nothing but I want to know you were sanding the clear coat with 800 grit correct and then put the final coat on it cuz I did the 3M perfect fit and I went to 5000 grit on my car and then just put on the buffer and had my way with it with their system and I only used the the super fine buffing pad in the compound anyway I think your lawnmower is the baddest thing on the planet and I would love to get a hold of you and pick your brain thank you very much
