@@Bluedhalias tape slows you down! Take your time and get good at cutting in and it's doesn't take that long. Not a bad idea to put some on your base boards to stop drips but I don't recommend taping up to the wall. Another reason is paint bleeds through easy

The power of good quality paint. A single roller fill of it actually covered the entire wall without any dark spots and the need of refilling the roller. Where I come from, the paint sold here (any brand) is so damn thin that you need to go for about 5 coats or more.

@@patrickkelly8512 well, my bad. I did not phrase my comment correctly. I tried to say that with a single coat he managed to basically cover the entire wall. Obviously a 2nd hand will finish the job. I also didn't give the context that I live in a country in which paint quality is very bad and no matter the brand, it will never coat as good as the one in the video did.

Aura from Benjamin more paint... is one of the good ones that doesn't need 2 coats .. but 30 seconds to cut all those outlets base mounding windows and corners .. he probably took 30 minutes or more to do this wall, base on the wide of the cutting

That roller actually does soak up an incredibly good amount of paint enough for a full coverage.

Yeah the rolling tends to be pretty quick but cutting in can take time so it isn’t 30 seconds. Prep is most of the work sometimes

Yeah, cleaning the walls takes more time than actually painting them. Also covering all the stuff you’ve moved to the center of the room can take some time too.

What he did was he dunked the roller in the paint and didn’t ring it out on the bumpy part of the tray (I don’t know the terms😂) so it would be covered in a lot of paint. Then he spread it on the wall and then went back over it, so even if the roller was running out of paint there was still the extra he had on the wall. Then all ya do is apply a good amount of pressure and you get a nice even paint coat. Hope that cleared up some stuff😋

Can you guys provide the make and model of the roller and the tray because those are not what you buy at a local Home store. Also how about doing ceilings (with high hats in them) I always miss spots. Thanks.

@@solventabuser77 Unless its with an actual stopwatch, or a digital timer, counting isn’t exactly the most accurate thing, you could count too slow, or too fast, only way to truly know if it was thirty seconds is a digital timer of some sort

Loaded roller twist at start was cool. I need to try that. Good work.

Once all the cutting in is done, walls are fast and once all the tape is quickly put on the woodwork the painting fast too. I am a painter of quite a few years. Painting is a blast and the finished project looks great. There’s nothing like fresh clean paint and Voc free.

@@BrainScramblies There is no "wringing" it out all that it does is make the paint even around the roller so u don't drip everywhere, it slightly loses some paint but most of it stays on the tray for the next time you are "wringing" it out generally u get the roller soaked, do one section the width of the roller top to bottom, then get it soaked again, this man is going to have to do this another 4 times unless the contractor hes working for likes thirsty walls then all is good other than the lines left from uneven paint

As an electrician, thank you for not just rolling over outlet boxes with some masking tape over the outlet. Destroys new receptacles faster than half the painters care to realize

I find these rollers better for render and other exterior applications. I would always go with a 270mm roller sleeve for interior walls and ceilings. Just my preference though.

Everyone who pressed like for the video either you are a painting expert or that painting the wall temporarily fills a void in your apartment, which makes you feel good and makes you tab like. 🤓

It was also 35 seconds.

I've been painting for 70 years, since I was 3. This technique works well on new builds and other people's houses.... If it my own house. I use a 1 inch roller so it takes longer so I don't have to play with the kids.

That’s a good way of getting paint droplets everywhere It’s fine to do as the white paint because you have lots of paper, but you’d be surprised how many tiny droplets make it halfway across the room when you roll that roller that fast

I painted my walls and rushed the one opposing my window, all my walls were white so they weren’t messed up but my window was covered in little drops It’s not even a small room either, them shits went flying A razor blade made it easy enough to clean but still; damn

I agree with the comments that how to paint a wall in 30sec is correct for the demonstration. No place where it says a prefect paint job and also doesn't say a cheaper price!

I'm a painter all my family is painters. Quick at the coverage but in person there is holidays and lines all through what he just painted. Will most definitely need three coats the way they are painting

He didn't say it's done, just that it's 30 seconds. Now if it needs 2-3 coats, that's still minute and a half of actual painting. He can just keep going around the house like this and come back and start new coat and repeat. Overall still fast I'd say

Specks EVERYWHERE. Should have covered more of the floor. Baseboards and and window frame are gonna look crazy without a wipe.

Exactly. How long did it take him to paint the edges and tape up the outlet? Prep work probably took at least another 30 min no matter how good he is, if not more.

@@JOHN.hennry taping outlet? Why the fuck would you tape the outlet? You use a paintbrush to outline the outlet, Half a minute on each outlet and if you are a little careful around them when painting it, No need to tape it. Im a housepainter, and I only ever taped an outlet when I was an apprentice. I would much rather be concerned about the lack of paint being put on the walls.

Not really, when it’s dry you’ll see nothin. Plus that’s only the first coat. It’ll need another one definitely. You can throw the first coat on like that providing your not leaving track marks in the paint and you’re laying it off properly.

@@beasthunter7480 the wall is already painted so needs no primer. He’s using a high opacity paint, a good trade roller and has a solid technique. One more coat will do it.

When you roll paint it tends to fling very small particles all over. He is only covering the floor for the first 3 feet, the rest of it is going to be absolutely covered in speckles

He already painted above the window, the part where the wall and floor (and ceiling!) meet and around the electrical socket in advance. Those are the parts that take the most time.

The problem with such a rapid roller speed is more airborne paint droplets traveling further.
