"How to Paint a Stunning Orange Rose in Acrylics | Step-by-Step Tutorial"

Welcome. In today's [acrylic] painting tutorial I show how to paint a rose. Nothing better than a light sun shower to bring out the full beauty of this Orange and Yellow Rose. While pottering around my garden one afternoon after a light shower this beautiful rose caught my eye. Once I took a few snaps from my phones camera I knew one day I would have to paint this little beauty and I thought I may as well make a tutorial of my process. So here we are. That afternoon has arrived. So even if you're not into art in the least you may really enjoy just sitting back relaxing to some soothing music while this painting unfolds before your eyes. Who knows you may even get inspired to grab a brush some acrylic paints a canvas and give it a go. So come on let's go.

I highly recommend this Acrylic paint set because of it's wide variety of colours and for its price the pigments are really excellent. I even use them myself. I will get a small commission if you purchase any of these products which is nice as it helps me to keep creating these videos.

Such a wonderful tutorial, Ben. I love the way you have added the sunshine and the raindrops. I have to add that I love your Apprentice Painter as well. She did a fantastic job again this week.

It’s just gorgeous! Thank you for the step by step, I just couldn’t see it until you fleshed it out, and the blending of the colors was just amazing. So thank you, I can’t wait to try it. Could you do a group of roses next time?

PS, FYI: One of my recently discovered youtube artists, is Michael James Smith. I found him by looking specifically for tutorials like painting grass and, currently, how to paint water ripples. I have watched a couple of his videos and he makes his paintings look so realistic that you wonder if it is a painting or a photograph. (A bit too perfect for my taste, if you ask me. Ha, ha). If interested, check him out and see what you like about him, if anything. He even has tutorials on how he makes his videos. He has gazillion subscribers, but also a patreon page and his membership is quite pricey (in my opinion). Still, a good example to check out of youtube success, I have to say. Cheerio.

Yes He's very good. I'm subscribed to him also. another good one is Andrew Tischler, @AndrewTischlerArt. He's an oil painter who does mainly landscapes but again an excellent teacher. If you're on Instagram at all check out Renato Muccillo he's another awesome landscape artist. One of my all time realist artist on Insta is a lady named CJ Hendri, mind blowing Hyperrealism. These are all outstanding. Another down to earth artist I've only just come across on KZread is Studio Wildlife he's fantastic and uses acrylics. @StudioWildlife. Hope some of these people give you tips and inspiration happy watching & learning.

@@BenHeffernanArt Hi Ben, thank you for the information. I appreciate this. i will look into them. I wasn't sure if I would hear back from you because I was quite direct with you. But you responding like this is a great sign. Yay! I am slowly filling my wall space with my own creations. Ha, ha. Personally, I am a great believer in what I call "practical art." It's painting furniture and boxes and things that you can use. There is only so much wall space, but with furniture, mirrors, boxes, etc., the sky is the limit. Of course, one can always paint and have prints made into practical things, decoupage paper, fabric, wall paper, even clothes. Ha, ha. At any rate, if it was up to me, all the artists would be successful and could paint all day to their heart's desire. That's why I shared all this information with you. I want you to succeed and become a full-time artist. See you in the next video. Cheerio.

@@BenHeffernanArt PS: Just checked them out. They are really impressive, especially CJ Hendri's hyperrealism. WOW! Actually, I find them a bit intimidating. Ha, ha. But, maybe in a year of two, this will change. Thank you for these. Cheerio
