    I noticed he’s using like a small fan brush. Does Rembrandt use mostly small fan brushes like that for portraits?

    Seems more of a 19th century approach … Rembrandt is much looser in his drawing stage … Not sure why he starts with yellow ocre as grisaille ? But nice to see a more clean approach to classical paintjjng than the usual Kitsch
