Love this video! It's amazing how much depth you achieved with only a few colors. Your running commentary is perfect, especially when you explain why you use a certain technique, and the close-ups are really helpful in showing detail. I went from "Do I *really* need to watch another 'how to paint a skull' video??" to "Yeah OK, I'm saving this one for future reference" in under 3 minutes. Edited ot add: Also, no joke on the sharpness of an Exacto knife - I have a 1" scar on my left index finger from when the Exacto I was using slipped & gashed it open back in 1977.

Thanks! I appreciate that. This was most likely polypropylene. I always had issues with paint sticking to this type of plastic so that why I use a alkyd based primer. As for a resin skull model, are you making the mold and pouring the resin yourself? I would open the nose up to hide the fake shallowness, and cut deeper gaps in-between the teeth. But for a camera ready prop this isn't too shabby.
