Learn how to paint a pine tree using a fan brush. This is the EASIEST way to paint a realistic evergreen. I use it for Fur trees, cedars, pines, hemlocks all coniferous trees really.
With over 25+ years of working as an arts educator, fine artist and botanical illustrator, I have developed a practical and clear approach to teaching students of all levels. I use this technique to paint pine trees in oil and gouache as well! Same brush, same technique + a variety of mediums.

100% cotton or "rag" paper is best. Arches 140 lb cold pressed is what I use (bright white).
