The world is a brighter place when Henry is painting Kruleboyz, love the video mate congrats
Favorite model + favorite painter = profit.
Going to be great seeing this army in a group shot
I was just re-watching your previous kruleboyz video again, and while i was thinking... "i hope he does a tutorial for the Troggoth and other monsters" the notification came up.

Just awesome!
Great work.
I have to say, you had me worried when that burgundy colour came out... End result just works though!
Brilliant! I know you don't want to have too many Kruleboyz painting videos but I really think the big vulture merits one!

It'll certainly be getting painted! Perhaps thats more a project for Patreon though.

Fun to paint
Nice
It looks amazing dude, nice work! I'm always a little daunted by painting anything with a natural animal like pattern, every test I have done has come out looking too ordered and maybe a little mechanical, but I really like the approach you took with this troggoth's skin, might have to try that out
I love this!!

It's a pretty cool mini isnt it!
Really great tutorial. I'm excited if you'll do the big bird guy in your scheme as well!

That's the plan!
Would love to see this army on the field. I suppose the question is has Andy made any more progress on his Lumineth? You're smashing these out Henry well done.

He’s plugging away at them. But he already has a painted Sylvaneth army so we can get some small games in soon!
Yesssss! Was really hoping you'd paint this one, easily my favourite model from the range. Awesome vid dude! 😁

Hey man, I really love your work! Please, could you do Gobsprakk?
just getting into using an airbrush. is there a reason you go for vellejo acrylics over the airbrush coulors? is it just the paint range is smaller for air..or are the paints significantly different?

If you’re buying specifically for this then go ahead and grab the model air versions. The colours are pretty close. I’ll tend to buy for the colour and not mind whether its “air” or not.
For around £30, this looks a cracker, not sure about those thin straps the little bloke is holding. But love the way this figure looks so fluid - and of course, master painter on the job
Hi Cult Of Paint ! i'm starting the hobby and i love you video. i wonder if i should start directly with a airbrush or not since the money is not a issue. And if i can push my luck as anyone got the color i should buy for Rubric marine since there seems to be brand better suited for Airbrush

An airbrush is a brilliant tool to have for painting. If you haven’t already then check out our intro to airbrush playlist. And I’ll be putting out a couple thousand sons videos very soon.
Play a game please!!!
: )
Did you varnish the model after the oil wash, before applying the highlights?
@cultofpaint
2 жыл бұрын
I didnt no, as long as the oil is dry you can paint over it. But there is zero harm in varnishing.
May I ask, is the “back to black” stage something you do for only the videos (to help viewing) or do you do it with all of your models?
@cultofpaint
2 жыл бұрын
Always for the videos and often in general. I find it particularly useful on very busy models.

@@cultofpaint yes, it’s a fantastic technique. I wish I’d seen it earlier in my painting life.
What is the theory behind adding pale blue for the highlights, rather than off white?
@cultofpaint
2 жыл бұрын
It's just a blue off white. Does the job and fewer paints to use!

@@cultofpaint super! If wondered if there was a cool tone theme you were keeping to match the green skins
@cultofpaint
2 жыл бұрын
@@AngusMcIntyre yes exactly that. keeping that universal highlight colour across the model as well.
I ended up here from the Red Grass Games email newsletter, and I'm very glad I did. Excellent video. Really took me out of the zone of other painting videos I've been watching. I've learnt some new things I'm eager to try out. Also, you have an excellent voice for narration - I could listen to videos like this for hours.

That's great to hear, we're big fans of the Redgrass team and their products, and welcome aboard!
If i may come with a suggestion for a tutorial here on KZread: You have covered all the cool details, like rust, verdigris, fur, hair, leather, cloth, bone, faces, wood and more... However one detail, that comes up in alot of miniatures, that is always annoying to deal with is smoke and fire. Many centerpiece models include them, and in my case it always looks off, because you can't really make something that is transparent in real life look good in solid plastic/resin. I would love to see you guys' take on some smoke or fire, with or without the OSL.
