All I could advise is to be as precise with the placing of the tier so you don’t have to move it about and to also make sure the cake is left overnight before stacking any cakes so they have time to firm up, that will make it much easier x

    Hi there, I don’t/have never painted a full buttercream cake (just maybe a name). They can be placed in the fridge, but you would need to be very careful when bringing it back to room temperature as it could sweat and the paint could run or discolour. If I use glitter on a buttercream cake, I just use the non aerosol lustre puffs all over the cake once decorated x

    Colouring it a similar colour just helps with the covering of the paint (as in if you slightly miss a section, it won’t stand out as bad). You can leave if white, but depending on the paint, you may need more layers of paint to ensure it’s covered.

  • @NautyLittleTreats

    @NautyLittleTreats

    Rejuvenator spirit has a high alcohol content so it evaporates quickly when painted onto a cake. You could use a very high alcohol vodka (not the normal drinking one) or if you wanted or needed to avoid alcohol completely, you could use lemon extract x

It worked. The only problem I had is that the fondant was to soft to be painted! Should I let the fondant dry first before painting?
