Visited and loved PEI a few years ago. Read all the Lucy Montgomery books and expected “Anne” to be working in the cute gift shop dedicated to her. A magical place you got to live in , Shayda❣️

Prince Edward Island was my moms dream vacation a few years back, she said she was like a child running through the fields where Anne of Green Gables was filmed. I was so jealous I didn’t go with her. Lucky you getting to live there for a while! We’re from NY, but I lived in Philadelphia for four years and Philly is for me what it sounds like PEI is for you, it has my heart forever! This is a beautiful painting!! 😍

P.E.I my favourite place on earth too!!!! My dad’s family all there. Grew up visiting every summer.

I like it very much that you take a direction to landscape. The last layer of shading for the footprints took it so much to a differnt level. Awesome 3D effect there! I would love to see more of those. And so cool to see something which means so much to you and see your story. Thanks for sharing!

I’ve watched so many of your tutorials and this is the first time I’ve realized you were Canadian🍁 The eastern provinces are so gorgeous ! On a practical note, I’m inspired to practice my drawing with a smaller grid/photo. Larger sizes can be so energy zapping before I even begin.

What a brilliant idea! The grid makes it so much easier to draw a busy scene. Now I just have to work on making my drawings loose instead of erasing so much and trying to get it perfect. Thank you so much for this very helpful video!

Shayda!!!! I am in awe. But also a little angry at all the art class instructors I have learned from. The grid is absolutely brilliant and gives you a confidence and courage in your art. Thanks for sharing. One lesson maybe you teach the grid to sketch my 3 grandsons! I am just really amazed!!!

I live in a place with beautiful beaches and I'm going to look out some interesting photos with steps and trees etc. Your videos inspire!!! Thanks. Buildings are something else that seem so daunting at first, but can be simplified ( by you) to teach others ( including me 😬) ????
