Yes, you tape the bottom just like any box. Make sure you put a couple of strips in each direction. The bottom doesn't need to hold to much weight but is important to maintain the shape of the box. Hope that helps!

hey Micheal nice video its a bit late about 3 years lol But here are some extra tips for packing the wardrobe boxes 1.when you get to the end, Like you said you have to jam the clothing a little to get it in the box . A simple solution is to tilt the box to the left or right (to the right in your case) and let the box lean against a wall or door opening so the clothing fals to one side it gves you a bit more space to put the last piece in there 2.its better to fold the flaps to the inside instead outside before you put the bar in . If the box gets to heavy it almost always collapsses to the inside at the base of the bar. With the flaps on the inside it makes it a little stronger 3. When putting suits in the box turn the colbert (jacket) inside out so the outside stays clean. 4.its easy enough to think that you can put a picture frame in the box or a dryrack or stuff like that, Dont do that when one of the clothing falls of the hanger it will be damaged by the extra stuff in there and in the 25 years that ive been an overseas packer i have never seen the idea of the extra bar at the bottom THAT`S AMAZING how did i not see this before thanks man your never to old to learn something ty. a dutch worldwide removelist ps, sorry for my spelling :P

I put a shorter one in my minivan for my sport coats and dress pants. It’s nice to have a mini closet in it. I also have a dresser for T-shirts and underwear and shorts. 👍

Flaps go on the inside. This way the bar doesn't stick out and is more flush with the box. When you put the flaps on the outside, the bar sticks out on both sides.

Great, but: One thing he didn't suggest: You want to tape the hangers to the bar, otherwise a small tip-over can cause hangers (and items) to slip off bar. Also be sure to pin or otherwise attach clothes to hangers.

aahhh...i read this after i wrote my above question. i'll try it. thx. i do recommend the skinny felt hangers even for your regular closet at home. they're slimline, make more space & the felt prevents clothes from slipping off.

my question is, how do the hangers stay on the rod with all the moving around the movers do. if i am spending $40. on 3 wardrobe bxs, i want to make sure it was worth it & my clothes arrive still neatly hung up. i would think a clamp over the top of the rod/hangers would be ideal.
