Nice! In April 2019 during 14-Day Hawaii cruise, I only traveled with carry-on and a backpack. However, since I decided to bring my U.S. Army Mess Dress Blue to wear during formal nights to honor veterans, that was the last time haha. I'll be going on my first RCL cruise on board the new Icon of the Seas. It will be my 60th overall cruise, and I am very excited!

Really useful tips Kristin, thank you. Have taken a few cruises in my lifetime and the one thing I recommend is to buy things like medicine such as ibuprofen/paracetamol/aspirin etc. ahead of time as the shops in most cruises charge a lot of money for them.

have you tried Peak Design's packing cubes? I'd be interested to hear what you think of them. For me, they're the best that I've tried. Also, that tech bag looks like a copy of their tech kit...

Great video. Im a huge fan of all your work. Did you leave out tampons deliberately ? They are essential for most women and very frustrating when you cant find your usual brand while travelling ? Always good to have some with you even if youre not expecting to need them when away, sometimes a change if scene can change your cycle unexpectedly. Happy holidays .Ann

Hey, is this video several weeks old, seems like you were in Brazil at least 2 weeks ago? Also, how do you decide WHERE you are going? Especially if you are travelling solo. Do you just put a finger in the wind and go? Seems like a purpose is needed at the destination, no?

I saw the crew cleaning constantly. With frequent hand washing and staying hydrated, I was able to avoid getting sick.

LAUNDRY TIP: Many cruise ships have laundry rooms. Problem is folks tend to use them at same time! 😡 I also bring a cord (takes little space) to hang up in stateroom for drying. Also, evening shows on ships can be chilly so be prepared for that too. Looks like a great crossing. 🛳️ 👍🏻 Enjoy, Merry Christmas 🎄and Happy 2024. 🎉

Great tips, thank you! I waited until I got to land to do laundry but that's a good idea to bring your own cord. I definitely wish I brought an extra hoodie or cardigan for the cooler nights as well. Happy holidays!

I thought the Unbound Merino shirt sounded like a great idea, but I followed your link and their website sucks. Could not put anything I wanted into a shopping cart. Maybe promote a GOOD product in the future--their failure affects your credibility, too.

It might be official size but I wouldn't consider that a "Carry On" , haha, Hope you had/have a good cruise, lots of fun, don't hurt yourself playing shuffleboard, haha, and most of all Season's Greetings to you K. Mike.🙂🛥🎄
