I recently switched to iPhone & i hate how unorganised the photos app is unlike android where every picture is automatically assigned to a specific folder based on source like screenshots, downloads, Facebook, Instagram etc. is there anyway to attain the same on ios?

Yes. Its so disappointing considering how much youve paid for the device yet simple feature like organizing photos isn’t even feasible.

One feature i wish apple photos on iOS had is something that I think Google photos has. It’s where I can organise photos into folders and albums like apple but then you can “hide” or “archive” them so they no longer show up in the library but will show up in the albums they have been saved to.

The biggest pain in the app. It would be so much easier if you put pics in an album or folder and have it out of the general library.

@@photocath I feel like I have to make a new album with everything and slowly delete what’s been sorted, tagged etc but still unless it’s being done all in one go my OCD mind would somehow mess it up and I would start all over about 5000 times 🤣

@@twotwinningcavs Exactly. I have 15000 pics in my recents/cameraroll. I keep making albums but by now have 200 of those. I am a photographer, so I have offline storage at home, but when travelling it is just a friggin pain to have to catalogue and tag and put aside. I tried to make a "MyRecents" but can only move around 400 in one go, there is no select all possibility, which really sucks. Lucky enough I have a 1 TB phone, so I have room. Still, it should not be that hard. If they have the possibility to make place pointers it should also be possible to move those linked files Nd get them out of that recents folder. I feel like Apple is not really listening to this.

there is a "hide" option on my iphone, when you click three dots next to the photo and select hide, photo been moved from library to "Hidden" folder under Utilities.

Bro how to sort the photos in library from new to old

Hi Daniel- I subscribed to your channel however you didnt talk about or bring up the issue I have, which is can a pix be placed into a Album with a Very particular Name & then have the original pix Re-moved from the TONS of pix that I’ve ever taken. My whole idea is to Organize & clean up all the random pictures & FREE up space on my cell. T also helps me when I’m attempting to organize which pix to keep & which to toss. Is this possible? What steps would you suggest in attempting to organize Hundreds maybe thousands of pix? Cause working with the GENERAL POPULATION of pix without deleting some are getting confusing at best. I have iPhone 14Plus Thank you, Waverly

iOS photos is terrible. Why would I want 5k+ photos living in a camera roll with no way of knowing what has been moved to an album? I want to store photos in whatever folder I choose. Why when I delete a photo in camera roll it deletes it in the album? Android does this soooooooo much better.

hey I'm wondering, can you upload a .mp4, .heic, .hevc files onto iphotos into album from a Mac? and will that file when you moved a specific file onto iPhotos, show up on my iPhone too?

How do i preserve my custom arranged sort order (by moving on thumbnail at a time) from one photo album to another, on the same iPhone or iPad?

When I add a picture into an album. I now have a duplicate photo. It does not take it out of the library. It adds to the album. So, I have it in the album and in the album. How can I fix this? Is it in the settings?

I tried this and while I can create the folders and add pictures to it, it seems to also keep them in both places. Seems like duplication. What am I doing wrong????

You are doing nothing wrong. The Apple photo system is against all logic. A big frustration, but Apple thinks everything is ok and confortable. I can give you a solution. Transfer the photos from the Photo app to the File app via the share button. (Not all together) In the File app you can make folders where you can put the photos. When the photos are in the File app, you can delete the photos in the Photo app.

Yes, but the first step is what you must do is the following. Use the file app. The photos from the album you select them. Use the share button, save in files. It id possible to create a folder. In the file app you can easily lined up in alphabetical order. When the photos are in the file app, you can delete the photos in the photo app.

If you delete it from recent it will delete in your folder too.

Some people involved in Health and Medicine have photos dating back as far as 2023 until 2017 or 2023 until 2011 or 2023 until 2007

Help me out Daniel. How can I move photos from my iphone (in the files folder) to the photos app? It`s doing my head in as a 1st time apple user. Thanks mate.

The only way is to use the file app. Select some photos in photo app, share button, save in files, choose a location (in icloud drive or on your device) and give the folder a name.

Photos app is very unorganized, they don't even use separate Camera folder. And also they don't organize photos by date. This is very uneasy to use

I am trying to understand 'For You' It is the choice of my Widget. I can't choose which photos go into 'For You' 🤷‍♀

It’s annoying. Apparently in iOS 17, you’ll be able to choose the photo to appear on your widget.

I am trying to move from the S23 Ultra to iPhone 14 Pro Max. Camera categorization is HORRIBLE. Also, animations are so laggy compared to my Samsung.

iphone has the worst gallery settings unlike the android we can organise any specific photo, albums and folder based on what we like . I hate when the recent albums is keeping and collecting all the photos inside it even if we create an albums the original one still keeps in the recent album

It has nothing to do with organise photos. Apple don’t want that people do that. Moving photos from the photo library to an album or folder should be possible.
