You are very welcome! It's great to hear our efforts are helping. Have you subscribed to our channel? If you haven't, you might like to think about it, because once you are subscribed, each time we post a new video (which we are doing all the time), you will find that they will turn up automatically in your feed. And, as you find our videos helpful, it would be great if you could kindly share the links with your friends and click the "like" button too, because that will help other people find out about the information as well. And, now that we have entered the main planting season (spring through late Fall) try to visit our partnering garden centers: grownbyoverdevest.com/retail-locator/. Was surprised to run across this program. I love it and will be watching for more. Do you have any sessions on roses. Most of my roses are ones that have a few blooms at a time all summer and early fall. But, I have one bush that has 50 or so smaller blooms once a year or maybe twice with 15 or so blooms. Would I be more aggressive In trimming the old first blooming back to get a more plentiful second flowering? I love my roses and Cala Lillie’s. I am in southern Alberta Canada and my Lillie’s live through the winter when covered with leaves. I am well into my 70’s and love gardening and it gets my body moving again after winter. Thanks for the gardening lessons.

Limelight is a "panicle" hydrangea - just like the one we pruned in this video. So the way to prune it is exactly the same. It is a vigorous grower and if your plant is older and bigger, the dimensions will alter but the principle, time of year etc. are all the same. Here fyi, is a video we posted a little while ago featuring Limelight and some of the more recent (newer) ones that you might find interesting: kzread.info/dash/bejne/Y6l-rclwgr2XZrA.html 😉💚👍

Dear Sir, I thank you so very much for this pruning instruction! For the past several years I have not had many blooms on my hydrangeas. I have very healthy full plants just not large blooms. I have been informed through this that I've been pruning off the new blooms by pruning off the older growth. Thanks for your expertise! 🌿

I have both a Snowball and an Annabelle hydrangea. I prune them each spring in late April/early May and the blooms are prolific. Many times strangers have asked to harvest some of the dried blooms in the fall to spray paint them. Plants are both 20+ years old now and are a great source of pleasure. Your video confirmed my approach was the right path to follow. Many thanks.

Great information. As a side note...winter of 2021 I was sure I had lost my hydrangeas when I looked out and discovered the rabbits had chewed my branches almost to about 4 to 5 inches high.
