Thank god you helped my whole night here. I'm sitting here a giant of a Viking man (6,1-235 pounds) with big clumsy fingers helping my wife with this sewing machine she just bought. We looked through the whole internet and found this amazing guide. The lower thread wheel didn't work and you showed it real good. You also showed where to place the threads while sewing and we nailed it. Im not really into this stuff but got real stubborn and watched your video step by step. Amazing help. Now my wife is happy:) Me also.

@@mariejones5570 what do you mean? Is the bobbin thread not coming up? Check if you loaded the bobbin the right direction. If you still have the instruction book, I believe it has a section on trouble shooting but I could be wrong

Just bought this for my daughter (nine years old) and was dreading teaching her how to use it. I am a first timer also and this video was so helpful that is got us sewing straight stiches right away. Your explanation of the process was great and she was able to do it all by herself. We would love some more videos using the machine on basic projects like a pillow case or some curtains.

I have bought this exact sewing machine and I'm so happy to see a tutorial so well explained by you. I like trying things like these to be independent just like I also stitch my own shoes when the soles come off. Thanks so much for the so systematic explanation.

Nice video! For sewing beginners: Raise the presser foot before threading your machine. This opens the tension disks so they can grip the thread. When the presser foot is down the tension disks are "closed" and you won't be able to thread them with your thread. I have had this machine for a couple of weeks now. I love it. Although it does not have a lot of space under the presser foot the machine handles multiple layers quite well. I've used this machine to make a quilted bag and several masks. My next project is cloth slippers with a beavy weight Sunbrella fabric for the sole and upper. We shall see how that goes! Any way I use this machine on my sailboat with a 12 volt electrical system. To do that I bought a 6 volt power cord with a 3.5 mm male plug on one end and a standard USB on the other and plug it into the 12 volt system with a car charger type USB plug. It works great! No need to use batteries or 110 electrical power. Perfect for boats, cars and R.Vs without using an inverter.

How do you manage to put the screw into the little hole that secures the needle? I’ve been trying for days seems like it doesn’t even fit

Thank you for this helpful video! I just bought this little machine to sew while traveling. It’s so light weight compared to my standard Singer, that’ll just have to stay at home. This machine is a great gadget for sewing-on-demand like dance costumes at competitions.

Just got one... Do you know how to use stitch pattern #8? Also when you turn the handwheel(towards you) does it have a little grinding?

@@rosieandbriansteepleton1062 It's quite loud compared to a regular sewing machine. I have to put mine on low or it would be way too fast for me. Mine goes about as fast as the demo she does. But again you don't have the control like you would on a regular machine being able to go as slow as you want. For paper it's great but I couldn't imagine actually sewing a piece of clothing with it. Hope that helps!

Just used it for the first time and the needle came un-threaded. The instructions were not that great for this complete beginner with very bad eyesight!! The timing wheel is off. You will need to make it accurately in sync with the needle.

Have you tried a different quality of thread? When I used the thread that came with the machine I had various issues, and so did my daughter. Also check the tension dial. What number is the tension dial currently on? Mine is usually on a 4 for the cotton fabrics I use.

Educational, great quality, not too slow paced where I'll lose interest but not too fast paced where I can't keep up and you have such a kind and calming voice, awesome video!

this machine is good to teach a small child how to sew..then when they are older you can switch to a full size

I really needed this tutorial because i have this exact machine which i bought online 2 months ago where i want to master how to use it. So far i dont have much problems using it where i was able to do some successful projects like making tote bags and altering some of my clothes, my next plan is to give some of my clothes a make over and eventually make my own clothes

I have had the same sewing machine for nearly 3 years and still cannot thread the needle, I didn't get a needle threader with mine so I went on to Amazon and ordered one with a light, I must admit your tutorial is the best one I have watched because it's the same machine, I will watch it again and again just so I have it right, as you can probably guess I have never had a sewing machine or used a sewing machine EVER, not even in school. I really appreciate the tutorial, Thanks very much.

Excellent video with very understandable showing of how to use this sewing machine, first time I have used one of these, don't think I would of managed without watching this video a few times, thank you!

Great video thank you! I am a first time user who just bought this model and looks just like the one in this video! I was scratching my head, wondering what I had done! I was looking at video's of other machines which are vastly different to this one, so all in all, that is very helpful and now I can try out my new project, to learn to use this little sewing machine so I don't need to go to town for small repairs to clothing! I am just Bobbin along!😂
