HOW TO OPERATE A MINI EXCAVATOR - USING THE CONTROLS AND DEMONSTRATION (EP 19)

Ойын-сауық

In this video, David shows how to operate a mini excavator.
Below is information about my purchase...
I ordered and paid for the excavator through Alibaba which was $3750 + $250 for the grapple attachment. The customs broker handled the other fees and billed me. The total was $5750. Note that I picked up directly at the warehouse so there were no shipping fees for delivery other than the U-haul trailer. The customs broker communicated with the seller and directed me on which forms to sign. The import tax was 25% so that is figured into the total cost.
I used Patrick Vasquez Customs Broker. 210-349-2577. Great communication! They will handle the customs fee as part of their service and bill you. Their website is www.vasquezcustomsbroker.com
The company I purchased the excavator from is Golden Mining Industrial Corporation. Sales manager is Betty at cnmc011@chnmach.com or sales011@sinogoldmachine.com. Her phone is 86-186-6983-4018. Jack is no longer with the company but we mainly used WhatsApp to stay in contact while the excavator was being prepared for shipment and delivery. If you can't get in touch with Betty you can go to their Alibaba page and their is a contact link there, see below...

    Actually quite a nice little machine, looks like its built solid and the fact it uses what looks like a generic little diesel engine gives me confidence is relatively easy to service and repair or maybe even replace a whole engine with another one like it. A lot of motocultivators, lawn mowers and other smaller machines use such engines nowadays

    If you wish to provide training, you should ensure you know what you are doing. Micro excavators need to be operated with thr blade resting to the rear of the machine. This moves the centre of moment further back creating a more stable platform and making it easier to dig into firmer ground. You are also running too many revs for smooth operation.

    Yes it’s good for the price. I have noticed some issues such as the canopy. Really should have had four support bars instead of two. The canopy broke off due to vibration. Also had the base plate welded due to a stress crack. I’ve put a lot of hours on it so far. Probably not what it was intended for. Still running fine though. Yes it was purchased off Alibaba. You can see the initial video on episode 11 which has the details in the description.

    From this and other China mini-ex videos, I'm left with the impression that hydraulic oil flow is excessive (GPM from oversized hydro pump). The result can be harsh and excessive quickness from control inputs. If the hydraulic pump has a single high-pressure output line, it might be easy to install a variable flow control valve, essentially an adjustable flow restrictor. This valve would not effect hydraulic pressure (hydro power), only the speed of cylinder(s) and track.

  • @24acresofparadise

    @24acresofparadise

    3 жыл бұрын

    Interesting. Yeah that would be above my pay grade. I have learned to control the excessive quickness on most occasions but it can prove hazardous if you aren’t ready for it. Probably wasn’t a feature on this one due to the low pricing. Overall I think the value is very good for the price. One thing I would say they could improve on is the canopy and base plate. The canopy is only held by two metal supports. Because there tends to be quick movements is can jar the canopy weakening the connection to the machine. They really should have had four supports, 2 at front and 2 at back. Regarding the base plate, a stress crack was created at the bottom of the boom near the feet so I had to have a welder strengthen that area.

    @@24acresofparadise Interesting..From websites and photos these things can appear structurally overbuilt, as if steel is really cheap over there:). I agree that the rollover bar looks more akin to a shade umbrella, not a bad thing to have of course. For $6000, and compared to more popular machine pricing, it seems pretty economical.

    @@24acresofparadise You have to be very careful ! I have the same 1 to 1 mini excavator only name is PC08, and thanks God I have made something for prevention which safe me when fault down together with machine. First make a board from flat bar 100mm all around aria where you step with legs (will prevent when you are fouling your legs to not be under machine). Second make a vertical support on a back side of roof, all the way down attached to place where is brand name HT08, this will touch your shoulders and keep you inside. Thirt and most important make detachable dozer blade more long, in my case is 1500mm, this will give you much more stability, and yes, Terry Lutke is right, need flow control valves because is killing my kidney, but still do not make them. As well flow is to big for arm control but too low for moving motors, that is why is terrible to turn, just all controls are with the same GPM flows.

    @24 Acres of Paradise I got a digger just like that, got it without the flimsy canopy. Floorplate is also cracking. I'm thinking of installing counter balance or restriction valve at least on the main boom cylinder to make the controls a bit smoother . Question btw, is there any hydraulic oil filter on yours?

  • @terrylutke

    @terrylutke

    Жыл бұрын

    @@lkremenski Popular branded diggers will have 2 or more hydro pumps to help match oil flow to circuit needs. Also geared oil flow dividers can be used the same way. These make the machine more productive and easier to operate, but at far more cost. I would think that after operating the china digger for a few hours the operators fingers would compensate for smoother moves of the boom. These cheap Chinese diggers could be a better design, but not for the same money:). Now it's late summer 2022, I'm in the US and US/China trade seems messed up. Not even sure if importing something like that is possible at the moment.
