Life saver! I tried to unscrew the ball for about an hour and found this video and the ball popped right out and I was able to remove it! Turns out it wasn't a screw on ball.

So it looks so easy ... The tricky thing is to put it and remove it from the ear. And if it's Daith ... the work gets even more complicated

Put your index finger behind the piercing and place your thumb nail in the gap between the end of the loop and the ball. Push firmly. Worked on my daith piercing after trying and failing miserably at this videos advice

@@user-rr3ol1fu5z there's no gap between my ball & ring. There's two types of these rings apparently. Captive & fixed ball, the latter being harder to spin so does that mean it's harder to remove?

@@weirdscience6820 I hadn't realised there were 2 types. If you can attempt to put your finger next to the ball and push the ball away from you. If you're able to go to a professional piercer and ask them to remove it for you, less risk of causing damage

Getting it out is the easy part, but I've been sitting here for 20 minutes and I can't get the stupid ball to pop in. Somebody send help.

Been trying to get my helix out for 2 years , watched this and its finally out!! Quick tip hold onto the ball and get someone to hold both ends of the ring and pull the sides apart whilst your holding the ball it will just pop out .

I was skeptical. Even had a pen with me....but it literally pushed right on out on the second try with my finger. First time I’ve ever had it out since I first got it about 3 or 4 years ago! Thanks!

What I did was get something wedged inbetween my helix pricing so the bar just widened a little and the ball popped out it hurt ALOT less

I have this type of jewelry for my daith that i got pierced a few months ago (so its still not fully healed) and the ball came out so easily! I just got my nose pierced and one of these was put in (I have other piercings but have never used this before) but it looks like it’s getting off center like it’s trying to pop off and I don’t wanna touch it’s without accidentally causing it to fall off but I’m nervous to leave it alone because it could come off without me realizing.

Literally - this was me. Im sure you got it out now! But for anyone else who had this problem I may have a solution. My piercing was on my third ear lobe. I popped the ball off with the end of a safety pin, then couldn't get it off. After that I wiggled it around it still didn't come off lol then I went to a mirror had to look at how it was lined up and made sure the sides of the earrings were both out the ear hole and yank it down. Otherwise it won't come out if its still in one of the holes. It was tight and a bit scratchy and I wish I could say it didn't hurt but it did hurt a smidgen - but nothing you can't handle. I put the saline wound spray on because my piercing is still relatively new. And I put new earring in both ears! For a cartilage, I recommend seeing a piercer just so you avoid possible infection because I wasn't opposed to going back just thought it would be easier than this lol I came here for help so ik someone is the same as me lol
