Instead of the air 12 grab to end combos, you can 12 ex stance 2. It only does a little more damage but the corner carry on it is insane. Opponent goes from mid screen to the corner instantly.

IDK if it'll end up mattering, but I discovered yesterday that Viltrum stance dodges Jax's unblockable ground pound like it's a projectile. Might be an interesting mind game to play to throw that out, they have to jump, and then you hit em with the spine breaker or some other move while they're in the air.

Another thing I’ve seen a lot of people do is b11, whiff 12 , standing 3, bf4, f3, db3, 1, j212, Fdash, 12+grab and that about 40% meterless.

Omni man in this game feels like a fever dream.

The biggest tip was low hat then jump kick ,jump kick then low hat ,ty !!!

You can also do forward 3 into spin for a full combo, the timing is just hard.

You can duck the second hit of the fatal and can easily punish it. Imo the most annoying is his backdash and go in with his mid. Very useful and your opponent gets tired of it. Especially if he ply Kung Lao with his short range.

F3 is great for punishing wakeups.

I wish meter burn also effected his moves cause if you think about it he kinda doesnt have any enhanced moves except chest bump and clap. Also i just wish he had more viable combo extensions besides doing the same grab move.

I love how you swear in the beginning of the video and could have easily just done a retake, but fuck it let’s go 😂

Nice guide. That said, the best thing about this game is the kameo system, so in future guides I think we would appreciate it if you explored multiple kameo options. MK balance is always a joke so we know we could just pick low hat with everything and rock with it. I think a lot of us would appreciate some other ideas for stuff that might be good when low hat gets nerfed in a week.

Low hat was already nerfed it's unlikely to be nerfed again. If you want more options then just do the standard, Jax or Scorpion for more damage and longer juggles.

I like Jax, but agree with the vid. It's hard to open them up.

Easier combo for forward, 3 is forward 3, stance grab, jump 1,2, stance, down back triangle for 315 dmg. More safe than dropping through a risky one

His biggest downfall is his attacks are HEAVILY telegraphed. Me and someone on Kasual both played Omni man over and over again. Basically practiced on one another. Quite slow and nothing is safe lol.

Can we talk about how his stand 3 is a crazy anti air and he can get stance full combo off it LOL

Omni Man guide.... Go full screen pop Dung Lows hat then to the teleport grab. Rinse and repeat.

This imo why kameos have ruined mk1. Dumbs down the solo designs to factor in not only pop ups but your main gameplan has to rely on it for almost everything. Without kameos as a Krutch I wonder what the designs could’ve been. I also think it should have just been tag. They left the best part of having teams. Tagging them in which would’ve added even more creativity with tag combos etc.

Did 80 matches against him he is weak against sektor and Raiden they keep him grounded where Raiden offense is better low starter also counters the stance dodge

Omni man has weak overhead/low mixups and a bad strike throw game. He’s B tier. Don’t get me wrong he has some dirty gimmicks like EX Viltrume stance to steal your turn back after any move if your opponent mashes on you. But no good frames like Liu Kang for strike/throw, or a good overhead/low like Kung Lao. Omni-Man has the risk of smoke with middling pressure and dirty gimmicks. If his F2 was able to combo with a kameo then it’d be a little different. I still love the fan service NRS did all things considered.

I’ve noticed this as well he terrible against anyone who know how to block. He needs a combos that goes from mid to low like raiden and Johnny. Most my matches when I’m using him turn into a touch off. Where we both only get one strike at a time until time runs out and that was in ranked against better player even those who use Omni man couldn’t get pass my guard without spamming grab. I wonder if they gonna buff his speed or add something

I can’t stand it when a character’s pokes aren’t easily distinguishable - why is his d4 a punch that also looks like his sweep? Not that it makes that much of a difference (granted I don’t know the frame data of his pokes), but still..

The d4 ruptures the Earth. The sweep or b4 is a low punch and will only finish the animation if it lands

Yeah against anyone that can block he kinda useless. He need a combo that attacks low mid combo like johnnny and raiden. He has an overhead combo but so far that isn’t enough. For a character showing such speed he punches really slow. The down x chop is the best thing in his arsenal. Unless your fighting someone new your not pulling off combos often. You’ll be lucky to get his main combo string in let alone anything fancy you see with the air stuff. He can’t fight people who know how to block. A support can help with that but it feel kinda icky to rely on them all the time. You could mix up into grab spam but grabbing over 3 times in a match just makes you a sorry player. He is really cool but unless they make some changes he kinda suck. I can go on a 5 win streak with raiden or Johnny against the better players but even when when better player choose Omni man to play as theirselves they still lose to me and I’m not even good. I literally don’t do any big combos I just do the base stuff they give you and they lose until they select one of the normal roster characters. Then they beat me more often. I doubt 40 people with 50+ matches are struggling to learn this character he just isn’t good against anyone that knows what they are doing with blocking and that was in ranked imagine what casual is looking like for him.

I’ll be honest, I think he is cool and fun. But, I feel like he isn’t really that good as a character. Low A tier for sure. Buuuut, we still have plenty of time to figure new stuff out and whatnot. So, this is a temporary placement.

Facts like he has the second lowest damage after sub zero. The moves he has to get in is unsafe which tweedy pointed out. Weak mix ups. He does have decent buttons and ways to deal with projectile spam but then again its day 1 so maybe we figure some stuff out

​@GDtornado yes he has bad damage im not getting 35% (meterless by the way) off almost every stray hit into low hat mixups. And there's definitely no way to get that damage up to 45% with Darius. Nope not my omni man bottom tier plz buff damage
