    This is a great tutorial, so many ollie tutorials tell you to put your front foot in the middle of the board for a higher ollie, but for beginners that makes it so much harder. It's better to start off close to the bolts and work your way down if you want

    nice video. tho, how come nobody talks about what the arms should do? i'm sure some motion of the arms helps with lift as well?

  • @rangerskateacademy

    @rangerskateacademy

    8 ай бұрын

    Absolutely will effect your Ollie if your arms aren't apart of the Initial motion but to the fact of is your arms needed to be any where or doing anything to Preform an Ollie we would say no we confidently can say it has been done with hands in pockets, behind the back, handcuffed you name it so it's helpful for balance but over time your arms are there to protect you from the possibility of falls and stable awkward airtime. None the less if you feel lifting your arms to get your Ollie right don't worry your doing nothing wrong 🤘 thank you for the feedback and extra tip to help Rangers find the perfect Ollie method 💛🤠🙏 stay blessed and hope to see you more often on campus Ranger 🛹🌟

    I have a question to all the skateboarders and im a beginner so I have a skateboard which is having rubber wheels so i wanna know if these rubber wheels can do all sorts of tricks and if they are safe on roads

  • @rangerskateacademy

    @rangerskateacademy

    5 ай бұрын

    Excellent question and pleasure meeting you, as for wheels they come in sizes and Densities (Hard or Soft) now with that I would say as a beginner it can be confusing but we here at the Skate Academy are happy to take on this confusion and simplify it down to what kind of skater are you trying to become? With softer wheels like rubber or gel you will have no more trouble then hard wheels if you jump (ollie) or flip the board but if you try to slide on any surface (powers slides, Boardslide on a Ledge or tail/nose slide) well then you and friction are going to meet and you may struggle more then with harder wheels but crusing on soft wheels down the street for your favorite snack at the gas station is perfect less rocks stop you, cracks in the road aren't gonna phase you and your speed may increase. 🫡 so safety in the road increases but still beware of traffic both hard and soft wheel doesn't stop injuries from falling or getting hit...that said if you plan on grinding/sliding ledges and Rails ride harder wheels if your crusing or traveling rough places bring your gellys or best but not necessarily demanded get a board with gel wheels and a board with harder wheel and switch out where needed. 🤠🙏🤠 thank you again for visiting the Skate Academy and commenting this awesome question 💛🤠🙏 Stay blessed, happy new year, and hope to see you and more friends back here on Campus 🌟🛹🫡

    Well, me, I’m an intermediate rookie skater. Admittedly I cannot yet olly the traditional way. But ☝️I normally tie or strap my feet onto the board. Makes things easier. Second, just for safety reasons, as to wearing a seatbelt in an auto. By far I don’t see anything wrong with skateboarding straps.🫱 Not to brag, I found even with straps, still I can olly quite well and pretty high. I begin by gathering speed through my forward tik toc movement. Once up to speed, I jump ( olly) over my target obstacle. I have ollyd over fallen branches, chairs, an inverted bicycle/motorcycle even, and even over people laying down! It’s about the same.🫱 In addition, I can briefly handstand on my skateboard, and do the “ monster walk” in w/c I walk my board forward and backwards with my feet on the board. Tik tac style. ( this I can do even without straps.) So perhaps strapped down or not, long as one can commit to his performance it’s alright.

    @@kylespevak6781 Ollying with a tie or strap is another different new style. 😁 It is something to worry about. Due to being tied down you are forced to be committed to your Olly with no mistakes.🤚 Otherwise once you fail in your olley, you will go down with your board. Since you have no chance to bail out.🫲😩🫱 And it will not be pretty. Nearly hit my elbow on the wrong place once which could’ve led to a serious dislocation. Good thing I just escaped with a few minor bruises. But even then. I was still hurt. But I took it as a good lesson / warning from my error. My tic toc run was too slow. So I was not successful in my Olly I got hurt.

    @@rangerskateacademy Thank you sir for appreciating my comment. Boy! I’m very happy you made me feel high! 😁 What I’m feeling now is superior! Unlike the rest of the rotten group that mocks my style. I had some bad times before and on till now with these kinds of people. But I do not give in to their wishes. No.☝️ I shall and will stand by my own belief and wonderful methods w/o any fool there dictating how I must live my life. It’s my way.🫱 So they should let me be. If they don’t like my ways, and so long as I do not bother anyone it’s better they just leave me alone. Why, I can do my skating happy alone.☝️If it’s something that will put me down, or humiliate me, I’m warning them.☝️I’m not the man they will want to tangle with. ☝️ But anyway thank you very much for appreciating my comment. And for being very understanding. Hats off! 🫡 At last. You made me feel REAL RESPECT now! 👍 I wish you also my kind sir, the very best, god bless you and family, and your entire skating group, thank you and Happy new year . 🤝
