Hello. I am a nurse and i have a query about when to apply for my ILR. My entry date into the UK was 22/3/2017 on a tier 2 visa. This was cancelled by my sponsor in June 2017 on grounds of not fulfiling the NMC requirement. But I applied for another Tier 2 visa in August 2017 with the same sponsor. This was granted in October 2017. My query is that when do I start counting my 5 years continuous residency? Is it starting from my entry date or from the date of my second tier 2 visa? I have been receiving conflicting responses. Hoping to hear from you. Many thanks.

My mother is British Protected person passport holder. I applied for her British Citizenship but they want a letter from Indian authorities that she is not and never was a citizen of india nor an oci holder and has never applied for it. I applied for it at high commission of India fro Tanzania but they said they are not allowed to issue such a letter according to citizenship act 1955. What should I do now ? My mum was born in Tanzania and never took Indian citizenship by descent or oci. Nafiz Nasser

Hello My wife have English certificate which is 6 year old is that sufficient for IRL application or she needs to obtain new certificate? Also the financial requirement I am showing my income which is one year self employment and net income is around £17600 also I receive child benefit and have savings over £18000 on isa account is that sufficient to satisfy home office on the financial requirements?

Hello there, IF your wife used the english test in her previous applications then she may be able to use it if it is level B1. With regards to your financial requirement we recommend you book a consultation so we can look at your financial documents to let you know if you meet the financial requirements.

My wife is an EU pre setled status in Uk How many month can stay outside Uk per yr to elligible settle status

Hello Yousuf, your wife should not stay out of the UK for more than 6 months in any 12 month period.

Thanks GSN I have applied Spouse Visa in an other immigration firm on 18 Nov 2020 after long time waiting, got refused after I cantacted GGN immigration Law firm they make a new application and my visa granted 25 Oct. Hello, You need 20 years in the UK to apply under private life, however if you would face siginificant problems adjusting in the country you would have to go to then you may have a chance. You can book a consultation and we can explore the difficulties you may face and advise you accordingly.
