Did you break into rabbits office there buddy? Thanks for making this video. CNC made a lot of people look bad.
Floor plans are the devil.

I worked at an RV dealer who had a list of coaches we had floorplanned for over a year and the amount being paid to the bank in interest monthly. The deal was if you sold it, you get that money which would have gone to the bank. We had some rat trap, scrap wagon coaches which were in the system over 1000 days covered in black mold that I wouldn’t give my ex-wife that we were paying $300/mo to the bank for some reason. And whenever one of us managed to sell one of them, more than once that particular coach “disappeared” from the list Another shady thing my GM did was not inform consigners that we sold their trailer. Instead he’d call up saying he had an interested buyer but name an amount several thousand below the amount it was already sold for. On one occasion he did this for a month and a half, all the while holding his money
i liked you when you appeared on Vinwiki talking about you driving your 1st NSX when young. Great success..glad you made this video
My favorite Mainiac car dude, always great hearing from you my friend!
I am glad that you do your professional best to stay honest. Integrity and honesty is part of professionalism in any profession. Sales included. Buuuttttttttt.............. those titles can be faked. Unless you totally trust the dealer/broker, buying a car or boat or plane on consignment, talk to the owner first. If dealer says owner wants to be anonymity, walk away from that car. If all consigned cars are owned by anonymous owners, walk away from dealer.
Great video Doug!!
There is risk associated with consignment, no matter which way you cut it.

You are absolutely correct. There is always risk in buying or selling cars. The best anyone can do is to mitigate their risk. Caveat emptor!
We love you Doug !!
CNC had the titles too.... they were just borrowing against them;)
Hey I enjoy this guys stories!
So, what I get from everything. Is to make sure the car dealership actually has the title to the car they are selling you. If they cannot produce a title, just don’t do business with them to avoid any potential scams or problems right?

Yes and no. We don’t always have title immediately for one of two reasons. One, the previous owner financed the car and we have made the payoff but the bank hasn’t sent it out yet. That process can take 4-8 weeks depending on the bank and the state in which the title is held. Two, the car is on consignment and the consignor holds the title. There is always some risk in buying cars, but a good dealer can prove their liquidity and give you proper assurance that even if the title is not in house, it will be processed in a timely manner. Ask questions, and if you sense a lack of transparency or shadow games, be willing to walk.
Switchcars is an awesome Dealership.
Doug do you offer consulting services to help someone buy a car someone else has for sale that may be nearby to you? Love your vinwiki stories btw.

Ohio man speaks truth and fact! 😁 Catch Doug on KZread!
Does anybody remember John(I believe)Phillips article in Car&Driver 'God Wants You to Roll'? from 15/20 years back? THAT was epic. CNC would make an ok TV movie.
Informative video, but the motion is making me sick. Are you on a boat?
No, I won't trade 2 C5s, for a salvage title 360 (slap)
Wonder if Ed would let you borrow a mic 😂

The coolest thing he had in there was the Toyota Century. Hopefully he’ll get more stuff like that in his inventory
title does not mean shit.. They can ask the customer to take a pic of the title and they can sell the car without having the title just send the fucken picture of the title..
Could have done without you reading all the titles.
Not one of those cars that you named off are either impressive or desirable. Keep trying.

CNC had some pretty impressive and desirable cars. Until they didn’t. Mine will never end up on a repo truck, and our reputation speaks for itself. I don’t need to impress anyone.

@@switchcars That's absolutely right, you don't have to impress anyone! Not even the people that want to buy a car from you.
