How to not care what other people think

i actually just turned 17 today and it was the worst day at school for me, these people in my class keep bullying me. I went for class president and won because “no other option was good”. and then this guy in my class said “i just want to say that i should’ve been class president and she only won because there was no good option left”. And everyone in my class laughed at me. i told them they’re childish and should be ashamed of themselves. And i started crying so hard, the mean girls that made jokes about me all year looked at me and saw me crying and just acted like nothing happened (their best friend is class president too and they voted her twice that day just to not vote me “as a joke”). I’ve always been nice to everybody. NOTHING but nice. Every year, every class is always the same. My friends also didn’t even speak up and they never do for me, they comfort me after but it’s still weird when u think about it. I don’t know what to do. And it’s hard to not think there’s something wrong with me… I used to be so confident but lately that’s been destroyed.

Happy Birthday my love❤ 17 is a weird age where most times everyone is insecure and so they project all internal conflict onto others. Trust me, I’ve been there! Soon you’ll find friends who align with you and support you even when everyone else is against you. Praying for nothing but blessings your way and please be patient with yourself always, you’re stronger than you think. Glad you enjoyed the video💖

same bro life is hard in my teens I was so sensitive I allowed my emotions to control me in every aspect of my life and that is the reason I did so poorly in school and college and also now in university at the age of 22.

Such great points. Also watch out for people who pretend to be in your league and as you continue to rise, they can’t keep up. Same with people who are stagnant. They will try to make you out to be a bad person!

It's true - your 20s are just a trial period, so welcome the good and the bad. You can make positive changes but learning is just a part of the journey in that phase so you are not wasting time. It's actually a normal maturing process, so go with the flow.

One of the 4% of men who watch your channel here. But I'm gay, so... what's up, ladies! Lol. Just wanted to comment to say how resonant and true I found all of this to be. The things I heard and the treatment I was subjected to while growing up created one of those mental prisons for me, and it took years to get free. There's so much in this life we don't get to choose for ourselves, but meaning and how we assign it to other people's words and actions is something we do control. I took back all the power I ever gave to other people when my sense of self expanded beyond their projections and when I realized I could choose to respond to them with compassion instead of fear. I'm thankful to be gay because it asked me to awaken to deeper truths about this life.

What you said about "I was suppose to become this version years ago but didn't cause of other people" is so relatable. It took me to move country entirely to realise this more, that my environment was holding me back. This whole video is so well discussed on a topic that can be hard to put into words in detail.

Excellent video! I totally relate to what you said about starting your KZread channel. It took me years to start because of my fear and worry about other people's judgment. I wish I hadn't let that stop me for so long. Well, better late than never I suppose. ❤

I need this advice because I've been dealing with a lot of hatered for the last few years. And I feel like I'm not good enough. So I hope this video will make people understand where I'm coming from, and I've had people talk a lot of stuff about me behind my back and in front of my face. And even my exes are talking about me. So, I hope this video will help me. Not to care about what others think about me or my family

Also some of us care more than others because they inherit a stronger a need for acceptance from their bloodline. I like what you said about not being hard on yourself for caring. Thats great advice.
