HOW TO NOT BLANK WHEN FISHING

Спорт

In this video we look into how we can avoid blanking when we go fishing! There's nothing more painful than putting everything into our fishing, even going when it's cold and myserable but coming away with nothing for our efforts! We explore methods and techniques that maximise our chances of landing a few fish, even in the harshest of conditions. Roach, perch, dace, chub and even barbel will fall for these tactics and in spring, summer, autumn or winter ... so take a look at the video and give it a go!
Trotting on the river isn't just for the traditional romantic ..... it's for everyone and it's extremely effective :)

Your right mate, I have never blanked trotting maggots and such a pleasurable way to fish.👍

Yeah exactly. Lower your expectations, doesn’t always have to be specimen fish to enjoy your fishing 👍👍👍

Thanks for these videos, always enthusiastic without being intense. Makes me dream of warmer weather on a day like today.

I fish on a tiny stream in a very similar way, though somewhat scaled down to 3lbs line and 2lbs hooklengths, hooks are 18 or 16. I also use a shirt button shotting pattern rather than a bulk, but this is just because the stream is generally shallow. I regularly get dace in the 9-inch bracket. Another tip would be to feed the swim for 10 minutes or more before you wet a line. I think it gives the fish more confidence and gets them competing before you actually fish. Unless conditions are awful, and this stream seems to die in the very cold, I rarely blank on it.

That’s the Korum Glide Float rod in 13ft. I’m currently using the new Korum Omega float rod of the same length. Hope that helps 👍🎣
