Gong. This refers to the loudness of the gong when the door/s are open.... gong gong gong lol!

Speed volume adjust the volume slightly when your driving so the faster you go it keeps the volume of your music sounding the same so road noise doesnt drown out your stereo and your gong is for your ringtone sound ie if you get a text message on uour phone and your phone beeps it beeps through the stereo if your phone is connected

The gong is the bmw warning chime sound.

Most likely your screen is broken and will need to be replaced, but I would have it checked out first.
