Definitely have to try my twist out on damp hair. I always do it on freshly washed hair out the shower. It may be less frizzy. And I need to practice more on flat twisting. It's a struggle for me to get it tight. They're always loose

Your hair is beautiful. I need to learn to do mine. I was considering going back to a perm. My hair gets so tangled and I am tender headed without a perm. I'll wait . It's been almost 3 years since I had a relaxer. I get it blow dry and flat ironed if it's not summer time. You look marvelous. Great Job!

Folks don’t understand why some of us need some extra products for our thick tresses ❤️ I just recently tried using the no oil method for months and my hair was soooo dry lol. That just means it’s only for some hair types for sure 😆 I’m glad I found this again because my hair is soooo similar and small twist don’t work for me lol

+iheartbretv Hey luv! Thanks! I like to keep my definition in the roots which tend to get flattened out if I just do two strand twists so I flat twist the top sections. Also, I like to put my hair in a bun while the twists are still in my hair if I have somewhere to go and I like how it looks better when it's in flat twisted.

+Athina Weems Thanks hun! Not really, just the usual amount from not combing out my hair unless I'm detangleing it on wash day. I would definitely try out Simplicity Hair Oil. It's amazing for various issues like shedding. There should be a link to a review I did on it in the description box it you want some additional info. It's been a staple in my hair care routine for years. Hope that helps 😘

Another question. What is the purpose of leaving the twists in for several days? Does it take your hair a long time (days) to fully dry due to the thickness? OR Are you using it note as a protective style? I ask because several naturalists KZreadrs do this. I am over 40 and work in corporate America and don’t feel comfy walking around with twists in my head. Just asking for better understanding. Your hair is gorgeous. Thank you

Thanks so much luv! I don’t take my hair out of the twists unless it’s necessary because the longer it’s in the more definition is achieved and it’s a great form of protective styling. This is just what works for my hair to keep it healthy. 💖💖💖

You've experienced a lot of growth since your night time routine video. I've recently incorporated the other method you mentioned for some nights. Do you get single strand knots often?

+T Johns Hey hun! Yeah, manipulating your hair too often could be causing damage, especially if you're detangling each time. I don't get them too often, but it's normal for it to happen a little bit. Try keeping your hair moisturized with a light oil and water mixture spritz throughout the week. Also try only retwisting once or twice a week if necessary. Hopefully those few changes will help. 😉
