    I banjo and as long as you keep plenty of mud, to do away with blisters, and keep a decent pace, you're gonna cover some rock in a day. I grew up hand taping and the banjo saved me. Closets are where I really knock time off but my theory was this, if you make the taping trip as fast as roughing in and skimming, you're doing good. Keep on keeping on buddy.

  • @kidjetrecon7153

    Bazooka is a whole lot faster especially if the roller and plow on same handle hands down. Agree he’s probably not going to have adjustment problems if you don’t keep bazooka in case or in the hand of fumble fingers he’s definitely not doing 9 ft top angles. Still fast definitely not record. Recorded would be keeping 5 guys busy with one bazooka.

    David D'sanps without a doubt mud rail that sits in buck is my fav for small jobs under fifty sheets nothing to clean up. 😂 I do know this if you’re not able to learn faster not harder this trade is very tough to make real money before your body says no way. I’ve tried over the years to be clean enough that the only sanding I need is a small sponge usually high edges after we got lax on plow or box setting adjustments. If there’s anything I hate about drywall it’s the sanding. I trace skim everything smooth if I’m involved. You know how it goes when your trying to coat five six hundred sheets. I would love to never have to do top angles. I noticed that a lot on videos from Australia. I love the freedom of drywall. I made ten times the money in the Gulf of Mexico running boats got back into drywall when my brother thought we could corner the market in 2000 running crews taxes got me and divorce 😂just didn’t corner the market the moneys in selling and working on tools.

    Banjos work wonderfully on flat seems if you have fairly tight fitting joints and really speeds up that taping process, I'm not sure about inside corners because there's always that uneven gap that will not get filled with mud when doing it this way, better to push mud into corner gaps with a knife and then use tape or ever better a rigid metal-paper pre-formed corner bead will be more reliable even though it takes much longer I think its worth it, after all its quality drywall that is the final step that makes the walls and ceiling look beautiful in a persons house and you want it to last decades!

    That looks like a good banjo.hard working man there too.just wondered why is the gap in the ceiling corners so wide.i know it gets molding or whatever but why so big.is it to do with movement?

    No because the sheets are 1200mm X2 so it's 2400mm and the ceiling height is 2440mm

    U guys are quick in all ur videos. I'll give ya that. But I'm from America an I'm just curious. Why u hang ur sheet rock from bottom up instead of top down? I've noticed in all u guys videos the gap is at the top. I assume it gets covered with crown. But is that so ur houses can breathe differently or something? Jus curious

    We use to use mesh tape on all our flats and butt joints and run Durobond 60 through our pumps and boxes. You better be ready to run your ass off and get your tools clean fast with that stuff!

    Why are there such big gaps in the ceiling corners? Should the drywall not be installed from TOP DOWN, so the gaps or shortage in down on the floor where it could be either fixed easier of simply be covered by the baseboard?

    They use cornice moulding in Australia, not necessary to drywall up to corner.....different than USA

    Why does the top angles all have gaps and no tape is that how they do it over there when they put crown? Even when theres crown molding the board is still butted up tight

  • @Maxkil

    @Maxkil

    6 жыл бұрын

    Yeah they leave a space. The crown here is called cornice and is made out of the same material as the drywall. Thats why is that space as there is no tape going over.

    It’s nice to do things very fast you make more money the faster you get the job done but also please make sure it’s done right. I moved into a house where all the drywall screws were coming through the mud because the drywall guys tried to go so fast they did a crappy job.

  • @Maxkil

    @Maxkil

    5 жыл бұрын

    Yeah just because it's fast doesn't mean it's a bad job. Seems a lot of people have that impression. I mean there is only one way a screw can go in. It could also be twisted framing members over time.
