Hopefully your rental is still going well. I'm considering something similar but we might need to sell our house in order to afford something in Colorado that we want. Managing a rental from several states away is a huge headache and management companies take a big cut.

Hi! Very nice and informative video. My family is considering relocating to Colorado from Miami, but I have a question. What makes you guys select the area of Fort Collins or Loveland? We are still trying to figure out what area to pick. The areas where we are looking are: 1- Boulder 2- Colorado Springs 3-Denver Thank you!

I'm in Orlando and considering moving to the Front-range area. We have been skiing a couple times in the mountains and fell in love with the area - so while we are still young enough to enjoy skiing, we want to make the move. I'm considering Colorado Springs and Denver or some place between. I'm really going to miss no state income tax, so Colorado is going to be more expensive in more than one way.

When my wife and I bought our house in 2021 it was insane! She is correct; it was very stressful because every house we looked at was sold before we finished looking at the house. We submitted a bid for a house while we were touring the house, and by the time we left the house we placed a bid on, it was under contract. We put in 30 bids in one month and lost all of them. It took us close to three months to find a house. People were paying up to $100,000 over the asking price! Some people were writing love letters to the homeowners so that they would sell the house to them, and it worked! We were lucky, and our house was appraised right at the asking price, so we did not have to pay the $40,000 appraisal gap! After bidding 34 times, we were finally able to find the perfect house. When my house was built in 2001, it sold for $150,000, and we had to pay $565,000 for the house! The cost of living in Colorado is very high and it has gotten worse in the last three years.

This has been going on for decades where natives don't like the new Colorado, and the new people love the new Colorado. Best example is Aspen in the 70s & '80s the yuppies chased out the hippies. In the 90s the millionaires came in and chased out the yuppies. Present day the billionaires are chasing out the millionaires. Such is life in Colorado!
