I was wondering if I could use a heat press, like the ones used for garment printing, for hot foil stamping. I would like to set up a shop but don't have funds to spend on a dedicated foil stamping machine just yet.

Thanks so much. do you have any tips for lining up a circular die holder (rosette centres) with text around? as this seems to be set into a metal rectangular holder, that slides into a marshal. Trying to line the rosette card centres with this is tedious. I hope you have a simple solution for me :)

Can I ask what make-ready material you use? Does it vary depending on the type of job you are working on? ie would you recommend presspahn? Just getting to know these materials but not sure what to go for.
