How To Morph Clones In Cinema 4D: C4D, Inheritance Effector and Rigid Body Tag Tutorial

Фильм және анимация

In this tutorial I want to show you how you can morph between objects using a Cloner Object, a Rigid Body Tag and an Inheritance Effector to create amazing particle simulations without third-party plugins. It's a great entry level introduction to dynamic simulations for new users and old. And they're fun to make.
If you are using S26 you'll find the Rigid Body Tag under the Bullet drop down menu and also the Project settings have changed, the Dynamics Tab name has changed to Bullet.

In your opening part of the video you have ice cream cone. I am really struggling to get the cloner to morph to non text objects and text objects with more than letter. Do you have any advice on how to make it transition from one object to another?

Hi, the ice-cream cone was three separate objects: a cone primitive; a cylinder primitive; and a sweep of a helix, which I made editable and placed in a Connect Object. I morphed each one separately and timed the transition. I morphed each one from a cylinder to land as the ice-cream and morphed them out to a cylinder. Even though these were three separate transitions, the dynamics works between all the clones. I've not tried "words" with this technique, but placing the text object in a Connect Object enables the Cloner to recognize the Text Object as an object. You should have no problem with cloning the volume of primitives, but if you are having problems with other objects, try placing the objects in a Connect Object. I hope this helps.

@@AlmostDailyRender Thank you for your help. I ended up using the Inheritance effector to transition to two Connect objects, which gave me the flexibility to use Fields too. Once again thank you for your help. I look forward to more amazing tutorials.
