For anyone asking, you don't need this plugin to get the same result. Just make a polysurface and then use the command "rebuild", you can then increase the U and V count for each surface. Also depending on the size of the surface, when you export the stl you may have to reduce the tolerance to the one-thousands place. You can go higher of course, but it will take much longer to process the stl. I had some stl's in meshlab get bugged out when i was reducing the surface count but once I got down to below a 1000 it fixed itself. So keep reducing the count if you see this problem.

I don't think it was modeled this way. It's probably manually modeled, but I wanted to share a quick way to get similar result.

How do I do this using subd?
how to split each face to cut it ?
What external software are you using with Rhino? I noticed you had an additional pink bar of icons and commands that I do not have. Would I need to download a separate software? Thank you!

These are plugins for Rhino, the "pink" one is called t-splines. However, it's not an active plugin for Rhino anymore :/

I'm a year late but just create the outline of your shape in top view then extrude it down in perspective view. Then use the cage edit command.
