Taking the time to automate volume levels (pre fx) is worth the effort. Sets the standard compressor to work more efficiently and transparently
From one professional audio engineer to another job well done bruh 👍🏾
Bro when it comes to tutorials you the 🐐. They never boring you get straight to the point and explain everything in a way that makes sense. I would pay to learn from you real talk.
really hope you understand how much youre helping people get better at things they love to do
Man I really appreciate you, I recently started interning here at a studio in Baltimore a year ago and even though I've been Producing for years I really want to get better at mixing my instrumentals and vocals. I learned so much from this video and I feel confident in running another session after having a bad session ( latency issue in headphones ) thank you man.
I’m watching another KZread vid of yours & this is talent. I truly feel like i can understand you within the vocals going deeper into the steadiness of the waves. Love your Mental bro. I’m going to get into this because of you. A lot of Potential, you have.
See how God works. I was literally thinking I need a mix and I look down not 10 seconds later and BOOM!!!

“I love this dude” I said that out loud as I was watching this Thank you man. I just want to be able to combine my production skills with my rapping ability. It’s not as simple as plugging in a mic and hitting record haha
So I found your channel in my recommends and this is the first video I have watched. I have watched a bunch of other guys, but I really like your energy and you take your time in explaining. Definitely a new subscriber and will be joining the Wavy Seals! God Bless brother!
Love Wayne, so much good vibes

Wayne, totally dig your vids! Thank you for posting! WavySeals.... Love it!
Listen up all you Ditherers. This is important. If you are learning how to record WavyWayne is the place to go. I’ve been pouring over the internet for years and I can tell you from a point of wisdom that there are countless mixers, masterers and ditherers that have infinite knowledge of recording but there are very few teachers. Just because you know things doesn’t mean you have the ability to impeccably impart that knowledge to others. You have to be a teacher to do that. WavyWayne is that teacher. He just might be the top of the list of individuals who have the ability to give you his knowledge in a way that you can actually utilize it with minimum confusion. We all know that people are born with the ability to play a musical instrument. We all know that people are born with the ability to sing. In the same way teachers are born with this gift of teaching. WavyWayne has this gift outright. I’m not telling you to avoid other tutorials. I’m saying that if you want the best the internet has for free, awesome learning WavyWayne is the place to go. Don’t take this lightly and don’t hold the fact that he does rap almost exclusively against him. (Yea, Wavy. I can joke too) Copy and paste this so others will know. Thanks Wavy!
Bro I love your videos !! Learnin a lot
Man that panning is excellent
THANKS BROTHER . YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING.

The piece on the parallel compression technique is exactly what I was looking for. I have guitar pedals that have wet/dry mix - it was a ‘duh’ moment when you showed that for compression on a DAW. The two-track method to get there - loved it! You just got a new sub 🤘🏻❤️✌🏻
Great info!! Thanks!!
You're a great teacher, funny too. Wish I knew about this channel sooner, great stuff!

Hey thanks. You make sense. Wondering about Djembe and mix with vocals. First time I recorded it.
Nice cut, subscribing
Wavy you are best 💪
Bro! That intro track is sick! ✊🏾
Also Izotope is great for cleaning up vocal recordings and works perfect with Pro-tools
you the man !
Yooooo Wavy Wayne, Here's another tip. If I'm looking for frequencies that I don't like, I use subtractive-EQ on the stock 7-Band EQ and press CTRL - Shift To Invert A Band Of EQ while sweeping it across the spectrum to give clearer idea of what frequencies I don't like. Then I pull out about 2 or 3 DB to give me that clean vocal. Just adding to the frequency sweep that I saw on the 11:40 mark. Blessings
Goat engineer
Love this dude Wayne with all respect and prosperity. #YBMP #STLHOMEGROWN

Very helpful bruh smh much thanks!! 🔥🔥
dope thank you bro!!!
Wassup Wayne keep teaching us the ropes big homie you helped me out a lot bro thank you...
i agree normally around same level as snare or little bit lower or also guitars or lead intruments depending on mix cuz dont really wnat mix to sound like it pop or hip hop everytime so key is good mixing and balance and you can have vocal sit right next to a big string section or even bass guitar

You can also widen the instrumental track so it leaves the mids open for the vocals.
Thanks for putting me on to MC Tres. It blows my mind that he has under 600 subs. I haven’t heard a bad song from him yet. Dude needs more exposure.
