It so therapeutic to watch henna videos! I have to use about twice the amount of sugar for my dry climate. And I agree, water mixes are the easiest ones!

Sorry for taking so long to answer, I don't come on KZread very often and I am not familiar with it. Yes, the amount of sugar needed really differs between locations. Even between seasons here! Your videos are awesome!

This is phenomenal! I've watched this video like 30 times. Absolutely love the video! I see a couple of people asking to make a video on how to roll cones, I would like to learn too! Also how do you make a balm to help the henna stain improve after removal? Or is it not necessary?

I don't apply anything except coconut or olive oil if there are some very stubborn bits of henna paste that I have trouble scratching off. I'm pretty sure balms are useless and people think it makes the stain darker because applying creams/oils makes the colors brighter momentarily.

lemon is acidic and can be harsh ...on some people it can leave a mark almost like a scar...in the past a lot of henna a artists used it but I find now people are using just water and 100% pure essential oils

نسيت هي في الاخر تقول انه يمكن أن تستعملي فقط زيت الخزامى اي اللافندر أو زيت الكلبتوس كزيت أساسي ولا يجوز استعمال زيوت أساسية أخرى لأنها لن تفيد الحناء

Hey camille! I was a bit wary about adding only water as in the henna paste because it didn't work for me previously. But this worked wonders! This is such a good recipe. I like in the UK, and the weather is quite humid most days so I needed to add a bit more sugar. Nevertheless I got a nice dark stain. I mixed raj and jamila powder together in this recipe. Really nice work, thanks and keep it up 😁

Hello! After mixing, the paste is good for about 4 days at room temperature. You can preserve them for longer by freezing them and taking one out when you need one.

The best way to know if the paste is ready is to test it by applying a small amount on your hand or foot, waiting 5-10 minutes and removing it. If the stain is a bright orange it is ready! Uncovering the paste won't affect the process :)
