WOW. That's was such a cool video. I really have learnt so much over the past 2 months watching all of your videos and I'm super excited to try mixing some hiphop because I've only ever mixed, techno, house and tech house. Thank you so much and please keep the videos coming 🤩🤩🤩
Having your background, and being where your from. Makes your tutorials just a pleasure to watch. Your experience and knowledge make for a great teaching tool for all DJs new to pro. Thank you and I'll promote your courses cause you are the truth in club ready period! 💯
I appreciate you!! I’m a beginner and just starting to learn everything about Djing. Your video pops up to my recommendation. Thanks for this!! I do really love mixing hiphop!
Love this Channel ! Already a club DJ but always good to refresh & recap to stay away from bad habits 👍
I must also say thank you...this video really taught me alot...had been struggling for couple months until watching and re-watching this. Then putting it into practise... it really clicked!
So much fun bud! Thank you and great energy
I've struggled with hip hop for a while now this has given me the answers thanks again Andrew I've learnt so much from you in a short time ill be signing up soon to your course on pay day to give back to you what you've shown me thank you insta followed 😊

Hey Bro-you save my Life with this Tutorial!!!I stand still since Month and dont come Forward...This Video helps me a Lot!!!
Fellow sydneyite, I have been djing for 30 years and come across alot of DJ's in my time from New Zealand to Northern Territory and you sir have the best demeanour and way of teaching I've come across, bless you brother... Hopefully I get to meet you one day👍❤
You can tell he really loves what he does lol. Great video man!!
That was so cool. Thanks man🙌🏾
Thank you Sir. You made this look more easy for me. I want to follow you so I can get better.
You always have good content
Really appreciate all the help!
You have taught me more in the last 3 months than I have worked out in years!
Amazing video. Started out DJing with some introductory knowledge on beat matching, looping and had some genre specific music structure knowledge that allowed me to make some decent mixes. However, I wanted to learn some techniques for hip-hop and DJing in general. I have to say, this video was it for me. Just recently got into EQ manipulation so I could grasp what you were doing with your mixes. Great video for those who are new to the game like myself. Thank you.
I have been dj'n for some time, but never knew the terminology for most of the things I was doing. It was just natural to me as I learned from an older uncle of mine and watching him. Your vids really helped explain these concepts and the verbage used in the field. Awesome and keep it up!
you are really amazing thank you for all this tutorials much love
There's a misconception nowadays about Dj'n, you go and buy a software program you install it and you are a DJ, or so you think! Dj'n is really an art form, you must learn music, sound equipment, lights and you must learn how to read the crowd etc, etc. So think about it, the money is there but so are the drugs, girls, sleepless nights, drunks, fights, equipment failures and insecurity, one day you work the next ? It's a lot of fun just have to be professional about it.

Such a great teacher 🙏 thanks for this
Another splendid video with great pointers on how to master mixing. You're cementing your way into being the best mixing instructor on youtube. I dont think that there is a person who comments on your posts that isnt being 100% sincere when they say that you are by far the most enthusiastic, exciting, and informational teacher. Im on the intermediate course on crossfader, but cant wait to purchase your course next to further keep learning. Cheers from Buffalo, NY!

Nice one. Made hip hop transitions look easy!
Can you do a video explaining how to beat grid your tracks thanks
Hey Andrew. In your course you are doing 8 bars of beatmatching, then 8 bars of mixing in and then bass swapping on the next 1. in this example here you swap the bass after 4 bars. Is this because HipHop has more like a 4 bar phrasing rather than 8? Thanks for all your videos and your course is amazing man! It transformed my mixing!
Very good teacher,,👍👍👊

It'd be great if you recorded your voice with a close mic as it seems there is a little bit of echo while you talk. It may be harder to understand some words for non-native English speakers like me. Thanks for the vids!
Do a video on how to mix Latino music (don't really know the name of the genre ) it's great for when you want to please the crowd at a summer party and you help me a lot with mixing thank you

Let's be honest here you have to be more specific here. You wanna do salsa and bachta (cant remember how to spell) moombathon, reagaethon?
sick tips andrew but sometimes i find using radio edits work better than intro edits because the intro edits have bass on them so it can sound a bit heavy when you come in espeically if youre mixing in the chorus and when you swap the bases on the 5th bar the incoming song can over power the chorus of the current song for the remaining 4 bars as oppose to a track with a short intro and no bass but mids where you'd loop it and echo out the exiting track.
@ClubReadyDJSchool

Noted!
Why do you like rolling the eq instead of volume fader? Is it total kill eq mixer? Follow up q: do you always mix into first chorus/verse? When would be appropriate not to?
@nickdanger327
4 жыл бұрын
Mix into 2nd chorus/verse. This gives you enough time for next track. Also gives audy a chance to dance a sing along. Sometimes you gotta change after 1st chorus/verse but really its up to you.
Hey man love your videos! Can you do one of how to mix reggaetón? I think is a very hard gente to mix

Probably the easiest genre to mix besides house...
I've got a question..are songs from beatpools compressed to a similar level? I often struggle with keeping the energy in vocal driven songs, because the sound quality varies so much. Would you recommend platinum notes? P. S. thank you sooo much for your content. You definetly helped me become an intermediate dj through quarantine. Hope your channel grows even more!

If you're using Traktor theres a feature called "auto gain" but I'd imagine that there's something similar in Serato or Recordbox. If you use club gear, you still have to use the gain knob. But then you can for example reference you level when you say. Oh this track is peaking at the 2 orange Led. And then you can adjust the new track that it's also peaking at the 2 orange Led. But don't go into the Reds this will sound terrible.
The thing with 8 bar mixing, key mixing etc, is sometimes the next song just doesnt hit. Nice video btw.
12:44 had me dying lmao another loop
Any advice on websites with good hip hop music, beats, extended….etc etc

@@ClubReadyDJSchool thanks bro!!! by far the best hip hop mix/tutorial ive heard on yt.
Some vocals were clashing, how do you suggest solving that?
@michaelcretu25
4 жыл бұрын
Ideally intros should not have vocals. If vocals come in early on the new track, you should try looping the section (4 bars/ 2 bars) without vocals.
Hiphop without vinyl is a bad night.
Why can't u transfer your google play music to rekordbox when it says u can. It will not do it, I was told to transfer to iTunes then u can? Is this true and I was told u have to download another app to tramsfer to rekord box?? Please help 🙏 Thank you in advance

Has anyone successfully signed up for BPM Supreme? They keep requiring proof that I’m a “working” DJ and no matter what I try they always reject me. I don’t think “bedroom” DJs can join BPM, can we? Are there any other good DJ pools that anyone can join?

I know your post was 3 years ago, but maybe somebody will still need it. I had the same issue and I contacted support and wrote them I’m learning to dj and I’d love to get access to legal music because it may be needed in the future. They checked my account and gave me access to buy subscription.
Good tips
One question? With Hip Hop does the Bpm need to be the same?
@ClubReadyDJSchool
2 жыл бұрын
They say you can comfortably move a BPM +/- 5bpm and the crowd won't really notice, so if you hav a track at 90BPM and another at 100BPM, you could essentially meet them in the middle at 95BPM.
Are you mixing in key, as well as close to the BPM of the track playing and loading a new track??
@ClubReadyDJSchool
2 жыл бұрын
Generally speaking mixing in key and playing BPMS that are close is safe, and is what I have done in this video, yes, but at end of the day track selection and reading the crowd is king but doing big BPM jumps is also fun and you should never pick key over the perfect track.

worng way to aproach hip hop in mixing terms. first of all is not house music so stay away from the EQ, it just makes it sound muddier and confusing . Also, avoid the filters! again, is not edm or house music. Not all music is mixed the same way, some mixes have to be more aggressive that others (trap. drum and bass, moombahton), some more chill than others( Nu- disco, Ambient House) Don't leave out the what makes hip hop...hip hop! Like Slamin' the songs in, Scratching the songs in, Looping, Doubling up. So please, don't give the wrong idea to a person that discovered this video for the first time and send them off on the wrong foot. Respect,
