Great video. Not too quick with the instructuons and no needless added length. A+. I just did my first one (converting audiobooks to single files) and my version of Audacity automatically removes the dead space between tracks which is really nice

Start the program as admin on windows, if it saves the merged file on C: drive you may gate an error and have to start over as an admin.

I am doing an audio book w 22 mp3 files with 5 sec. between files and I'm hoping this does the trick. What I need is to find the start time for each track in the book bc the publisher requires this. It has been a HUGE problem and I believe you've solved it. Fingers crossed now. Thanks.

My version (3.3.3) auto removed the dead space between tracks. I'm doing audiobooks too :). Auto cut a pretty long 10+ second pause into a seamless transition without any input from me. I'm merging for audiobooks as it will be easier for bookmarking.
