This needs better explanation for beginner. I think it starts with backstitch and then turns into blanket stitch, but those transitions need to be slowed down and explained

Thank you, it doesn't even show how to tie it off without pulling and staying tidy...

For demonstration purposes, a brighter coloured thread will make your stitches clearer.

Nice and simple THANKYOU! Although my hole is bigger than this. I was nearly going to throw jumper out before finding this so will give it a go! THANKYOU! 🧶🧶🪡🧵

I don't sew but I like fixing things. This is a really easy way to close up the holes in my woolen socks. Easy to follow. Just didn't know what to do with the lose end from the start so I just made a knot once I was done with the circle. Seems to work for now, bit uncomfortable though.

You're missing how you tie it off while not stuffing up the mend with tension, Also what way you made the knot to start it... this would have people make mistakes that make mess.

You're missing something. How you finish it., while still keeping it tidy and comfortable. What type of knot to use while, whilst not pulling at the mend you've made?... With a loose patch job that wool needs, like you've made really well. How to tie it off, and not pull on it till it turns into a mess...

Hello. Did you use wool, embroidery floss or cotton thread to make this repair? Ty!

  • @ThisIsDemocracy

Ideally the repair would use the same fiber as the sweater. But that could be hard to find so use what is available.
