hi im a student strugling to memorise for exams i do psychology at A level. Allthough i do think this memorisation technique is great i dont get how it would or can be aplied to information we have to learn for the exam for example would you have to link a visual aid for every word and if not then how will you be able to construct a sentance or essay from individual memorised words. Please help. Thanks

verbal 9 visual 13 I did both of them by visualizing. This has always been my go-to whenever I find myself unable to memorize something using the verbal method.

We just started 3rd grading and exams are already near

That's truly amazing how memory works, with just verbal memory, I honestly couldn't confidently say I would remember even 5 of the words presented. With visual memory, and a connected storyline I was able to work from the first part of the story and memorize all 15 words pretty easily.

3 for verbal, 12 for visual. I have bad memory, and I am very pleasantly surprised that the visual worked to about 80 percent. I have finally found hope in my long journey of trying to improve my memory.

Verbal - 5-7 Visual - 15 and in the correct order It’s so cool I’ll use it in my exams Thank you so much!

With verbal memory - 2 I got visual memory - 12 It's really a difference! I think you can use like they showed or the palace mind technique. It may not have a relation but you create a weird relation to remember

Verbal:5 Visual:14 ( English is not my native language, and I closed my eyes to imagine everything and some ditales i did not understand), but I am impressed the way it works.

OMG! This is one of the most helpful things to memorize as a student as i visualize the words i memorized up to 14! very helpful for my exam.

I know, but i litterally have to memorize a 1000-word essay for my school.

Verbal - 8, Visual - 15 (Correct Order), embedding the information within a plot, within a story helped a lot. Also, because the plot was a bit absurd, it helped me remember the words even better. Kudos to your creativity! Thank you for sharing this awesome technique with me!

I’m doing my science project for school, and It’s gonna be titled “Visual Memory vs. Verbal Memory” I watched this video one or two years ago and now it’s my inspiration :D

I got distracted when you listed more than 10 words, had a loud ass TV playing Curious George for my baby brother, and my Mom talking to her friends on the speaker phone. Still got 15/15 for Visual Memory which is amazing in comparison to the 6/10 for Verbal Memory. Will use for exams.

my verbal memory turns right into visual. Just hearing the words I slowly put things together and form a sort of picture.

Wow, I was taught to learn like this in my school... We used to have many workshops that specifically focused on topics like these... bought back memories...

Now for long term remembering the key is to...come back in 1 hr, how much do your remember and then 24 hrs later. And then 7 days later. do you still remember? This little tip helps you to remember long term.

Thank you! I purchased the entire series. I've already got the first 20 memorized...very easily. I am also putting tiny pictures representing each element (based on the video series) into a blank periodic table, so I can print it out and study/memorize it without having to watch the videos every time. Such a great help! :)

I got 5 in verbal and got 12 in visual I realize that it was easier when i see things and imagining it, in my memories it makes me remember some of the details. I always do the verbal when I do memorizing because usually, I read our lessons and it's kinda hard to imagine the words without even seeing pictures.

He is correct. I only remember 5 words out of the 10 the first time with my verbal memory. Then when I listen to that ridiculous story and visualize everything that was happening. I recalled all 15 events in order.
