Don't really agree with your analysis because of 2 main reasons. 1) While shiny ore might be better value using the raid medals, you forget that glowy ore is still the bottleneck for many. By buying the shiny ore, you're only worsening the bottleneck. 2) Also, your analysis assumes that we will have the necessary gems to buy the glowy ores, which is a grave assumption. Not everyone can farm the necessary 300 whoping gems per week especially f2p players. A better way to approach this is by analyzing how many ores we get per hero potion to directly compare it with buying ores through raid medals.

He also bases this off of the assumption that buying shiny ores though gems is a good deal. Directly using gems to buy stuff is one of the worst deals in coc. You get so many shiny ores though star bonus and wars that theres no point in spending medals on them

Who the hell needs shiny ore? I´m f2p and i have 33k shiny ore. I was at 42k at some point. I´d just buy starry ore and glowy ore for a total of 1300 raid medals. I´d say that the most important resource right now is starry ore, because you need 480 (10+20++30+50+100+120+150) starry ore per maxed epic equipment so 1920 to get all 4 maxed when the epic equipment for the royal champion comes out. You only need 3720 (20+100+200+400+5*600) glowy ore to max an epic equipment and 1920 (20+100+200+400+2*600) glowy ore to max a common equipment. If you want to have 8 maxed equipments and want to use all epic equipments then you need 1920 starry ore and 22,560 glowy. You can farm the glowy in less than a year if you get legend bonus and grind wars, but you can´t get the starry ore within a year even if you grind wars and win every time winning 5 starry per day (10 per war). Also, keep in mind that a lot of equipments were already upgraded to some extend. I was maxed when they introduced ores meaning that my rage vial, invis vial, eternal tome and life gem were already level 15. I saved 1320 glowy each. Conclusion, buying shiny ore ist stupid, glowy ore is pretty rare and buying it is useful, starry ore will probably be a long term bottleneck (for the f2p players atleast) and you should buy it before anything else.

Better value isn’t really “better value” when the bottle neck is glowy. 1k shiny a day in fake legends vs 54 glowy, there’s an abundance of shiny in the game dude why would I spend medals on even more shiny?

I see why not upgrading heroes is more „efficient“ but I‘m so tired of hearing it day in day out… come on guys, you‘ll be stuck in a forever loophole. Just upgrade them, there are a few townhalls where you only get 5-10 more levels per hero and that‘s not really the world. I could go on and on why upgrading heroes matter but I‘m so fucking tired of y‘all „hero potion“ users… especially if it‘s your main account. At this point upgrade nothing and play smth else…

I know,they should just use the gems to buy book of heroes to accelerate the process of upgrading heroes to max. Especially if you're on gold pass,as you can sell a lot of magic items that you don't really be needing to get those book of heroes and once you maxed out on heroes,you can invest on either pets or ores

@@DarkShadow-wp3hm it's better to buy all the training potions and clock tower potions with all packs of the wall rings using the raid medals(costing you 1.5k medals in total),which gives you a total of 135 gems per week (60gems from the potions + 75gems from the wall rings)

@@DarkShadow-wp3hm but that only works if you have nothing else to do but to farm gems for book of heroes/ores and you don't use any raid medals on troops(i use raid medals and not asking troops from any clanmates for challenge purposes only). Bdlegends does have some good tips but this video is sadly not one of them,tbh. I rather spend my raid medals on glowy,as you can see from most of the comments,than buy shinny ores. Unless needed, I won't be doing that and i would actually recommend others not to do that as well,as it is actually not as efficient as we can see from this video

Little tip. Just go in Legends League and drop out of it. Get attacked or take revenge. Dont drop below 4900 Trophies and u will always geht Legend Star Bonus and u can still attack as much u want.

I do not completely agree with your conclusion, but I do really appreciate videos that take this approach and focus on breaking down the best value for gems, raid medals, league medals, etc. So I appreciate HOW you determined that Shiny ore may be the best bang for your buck from a cost perspective, even though I find little value IRL to purchasing them, given their naturally occurring abundance in the game.

Here’s a question though, what exactly is the purpose of regular wars? I don’t really understand why you would want to be using hero potions for regular wars. If your clan is serious about cwl I understand saving up and using hero potions for that, but regular wars seem like the don’t offer that much reward for the raid medals you’re spending. Feel like you’d be much better off buying the glowy ores than anything else (or builder base resources if you’re into that part of the game cause those are damn hard to get in bulk)

To be honest, farming gems for glowy isn't everyone's tea. Better get the books for your heroes and max them out fast before investing the gems to your pets and/or ores. Especially for players on gold pass,you can and should sell some of the magic items that you don't actually use (cause i do that and i can get a lot of gems just from the gold pass magic items that I don't use and still do that). Abuse every ore events by buying the glowy whenever you can with the super medals and also don't forget the raid medals. Clash on,guys...

@@Kratos554 moving straight to th16 , but why ? is it coz you got all 2500 cwl medals rn? its like 20 hammer of building , 3 inf with *2 levels each= 6 HOB , 2 for eagle , 3-4 for mono ig and 4 xbows *2 levels = 8 HOB and requires 20*7 = 140 days = 4months 10 days , that's quite grind there for ya ig , lolz

Shiny ores don't improve equipment, glowy ores do. If you're choosing to hit your heroes with hero potions to maximize offensive potential, then you will need strong equipment for it. Level 15 >>>> Level 12-14

Pay to progress faster player here. I noticed a lot of people saying nobody needs shiny ore. I’m here to tell you that my starry & glowy ores are at about 60% capacity but my shiny ores are at about 10% capacity.

I don't really agree with this analysis because comparing gems with raid medals just like that is a grave mistake. Gems are just too hard to come by, nobody is going to farm enough gems per week. Whereas, raid medals are quite in abundance every other weekend. Also, since glowy ore is always the limiting factor for most of the players, investing your resources elsewhere (especially into shiny ores which is relatively easier to get) is just a waste. You should take availability of resources and relative demands of ores into account.

Hero potions are not worth it for me, cause I might as well actually upgrade the hero with my full dark elixir storage, plus with the equipment update putting most of the hero’s strength into equipments getting plenty of ores would be a better deal imo, especially if they release another epic equipment in the future.

I can answer that for you. Goblin builder/researcher is better value for your gems. Save your gems until he returns.

It takes over 2 months to max a epic equipment because of glowy ore shortage, that's if your in legends league... Just from the daily bonus, next you have to be doing war 24/7 to get the starry ore obviously and it will cut down the time to max an equipment from 2 months. You will get enough shiny ore from getting the daily bonus just be attacking everyday within 1 month and a half. So the real problem is glowy and starry. I also have accounts not in legend league and they are also facing the same problem right now, glowy and starry ore. I can send a link to a spread shit if needed. Hope this helps ✌️😅

I disagree completely with the raid medal spending. Upgrade your heroes. Hit down in wars or join a farming clan to get free ores with sneaky goblin hits. Never buy hero potions. DEFINITELY don’t buy shiny ore. Ever. Buy glowy and/or starry ore and get research potions every time as well as pet potions if they’re available. Horrible advice in this video.
