Ok, this seems simple. Other videos have much more complex steps with several steps and valves and pipes.

So it's better to turn on the solenoid ratherthan the manual bleed screw when turning on sprinklers manual?

Yes, turn the "handle" to "On" position. He turned the Manual Bleed and this video is incorrect. When manually turning on your sprinkler valve you should always turn the solenoid to the "On" position. The solenoid in this video is the tallest thing on valve that has what looks like an arm sticking out. The manual bleed will work but that is not its intended purpose and they are a far more delicate piece of valve that is very easy to break or mis-thread.

Turns your sprinklers on manually. This video is technically correct but NOT how you should turn sprinkler on. It's a mistake I see all the time, people using manual bleed screw to turn on. You should always use solenoid, it has a big handle and says "On" / "Off".
