    Good video! I recently bought the New Brikka. I love it! It's got a different crema valve inside the pipe where you can't see it. Also, it comes with a plastic measuring cup to pour 120ml of water into the 2 cup, or 170ml of water into the 4 cup.

    Unless you know something I don't, but you should have prepared the milk while the coffee is brewing. The coffee shouldn't be sitting around and waiting for the milk to warm and froth.

    Froth the milk when it's ice cold with a coffee plunger, heat it and then tap the bottom firmly on a counter to get rid of the bubbles. The foam is silkier that way.

    Nice vid Getty! FYI, I always heat the whole milk just prior to brewing the espresso. But if not, a 15 second hit in the microwave also works.

    Is it 2 cup moka pot? Did he use the whole liquid in the pot? Im asking because I want to buy a moka pot that will be enough for 2 cups of cappuccino like this man did. So do I need 2-cup or 4-cup moka pot?

    I am a beginner with a small 1 cup mocha pot, and I have 2 problems. One I cant produce crema, and two I get small amount of grind coffee in the liquid (after drinking you can see it in the mug used). Any suggestions? I fill the pot with water below the valve, and coffee almost to the border.

    question kind sir. i brew coffee with my regular moka pot, no brikka, and i want to upgrade. i'm saving up for an actually espresso machine in the future, and i am unsure whether to get a brikka while i wait, and ultimately what machine to get which is a whole different story. i currently use Illy fine ground dark espresso beans (i know, i really need to get my own grinder). as well i don't like how foamy the hand frothers make the milk. so should i get a brikka and a steam frother?

    Actually most people in Italy prepare coffee in moka-pots at home to simulate espressos drunk at cafes, go to any household and they'll most likely have a moka-pot rather than a PID, pressure profile espresso machine..they know it's not the same, but consider it good enough not to be bothered by spending money on hugely expensive machines and grinders at home.

    That’s what an espresso shot should look like. Should have crem’e. This maker doesn’t has as much pressure as a coffee shop but with less water it gave more pressure then normal and bc he ground fresh coffee for this, it was very crem’ey

  • @mescellaneous

    @mescellaneous

    5 жыл бұрын

    @@psychochrisandjess it is not anything about less water. it has a built in frothing element. because it is aerating the coffee at the end with water vapor (from the boiling water at the bottom creating steam), it will lighten the color of the coffee and increase volume. and for the coffee snobs: this is not the same as crema from espresso. that is produced with high pressure and the carbon dioxide expelled from the coffee (same gases as blooming in pour over). that is why it will dissipate quickly too (like how soda will turn flat when you open the bottle and leave it out).

    Thanks for this great video. I got my 2-cup-Brikka yesterday and I've got trouble with it... Sometimes the water is bubbling at the seal in the middle of the Brikka, although I really tightened it up... At other times it looks good and there are some drops coming out at first (like in the video) but the swoosh is completely different: theres only black coffee running out and only in the end there's some crema bubbling out of the vent... Do you think it's a matter of my Brikka or wrong handling?

    I think your crema looks too pale suggesting under-extraction, i know you're using the correct dose, but from my limited experience with the brikka, i've found that coffees with a medium to dark brown crema taste more balanced and sweeter.. only way i've found to do this is to pack as much coffee as the portafilter can hold, thus over-dosing, making them more like "ristrettos" than "espressos"

    Life is too short to be weighing out coffee ☕️ just eye ball it. As for the milk that foamer needs to be retired use a French press instead just unscrew the lid and bin then put hot milk into the press and pump the plunger until you get a nice micro foam. It’s a lot quicker then the electric frother. I hope that helps you get a decent cappuccino in the morning fast.

    To be clear this is not an espresso maker in any sense of the word. This is merely a coffee extraction method. You will not find this described as an espresso maker on the Bialetti website, why? Because they're Italian and they know what espresso is. On their website this is called a coffee maker. In addition to that this little frothing gadget does not produce crema. Crema is produced via emulsification which this little device can not do. Calling a Ford a Ferrari does not make it so.

    Hi, May I share the most important news you will ever hear? God the Father sent His holy Son Jesus Christ(Y'shua Ha' Mashiach) from heaven to earth, to be born of a virgin. He grew up and died on the cross for our sins. He was put into a tomb for 3 days, and then Abba Father raised Jesus to life and He appeared to people and went back to Heaven. We must all sincerely receive Jesus to be a true child of God. It says in John 1:12 "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name." Will you genuinely believe on Christ Jesus and truly receive Him today, before it is too late?
