I have a smoked pair I haven’t be able to install for the past 2 years I been looking for a affordable harness and no luck for you to just make a diy that simple keep ‘em videos coming

Not too jazzed by the boarder on these tail lights but a cool mod! Should look much better smoked if you decide to do that.

Hello how would 1 go about if they wanted to add capacitors instead of the alpha obd programming

I upgraded my 2010 headlights from dual halogen to dual projector with DRL running lights. Is there a way to use AlfaOBD to have them on every time I turn on the truck without using the running lights knob?

They sell female spade connectors for the small male spade terminals on speakers at local auto stores. Looks like they would work on those small male terminals.

How would you run capacitors on the wiring harness?

Just did this to my 16 Ram 2500 this weekend. I used oem led taillight and alpha obd. I still get an error message on my dash. Any ideas?

Which programmer do you use,looks like it on your cellphone?

i would try and solder the wire to the contact and then shrink tube over that connection. THen maybe fill in with non-conductive epoxy/filler for a water tight seal

Yeah that could work too! Like I was mentioning I mainly just wanted to show what you could do but will try to recoup money and resell these tail lights so didn’t want to do a permanent connection there 😁

Just make sure they work good and fill the hole with hot glue. It should hold everything together and keep moisture out and the spades connected on the pins forever. I know it’s a bit ghetto but I mean look at what we’re doing😂 great job though

You should be able to find a 4 pin connector that will actually plug into and work with the housing

What about the can-bus problem? Retro

Would this work the opposite way around? I have a factory led truck and I’m trying to get a specific set of tails but they are for a halogen truck

Why do anything to the reverse light (other than switch bulbs)? Is the twist-lock different? Looks like both of them use a separate, modular bulb - not like the halogen vs LED where one is a modular bulb and the other is a built-in panel.

I’ll just leave the led tail lamps present bc if u ever decide to get aftermarket tail lights the truck will have the code enabled for it I had to do that with my alpharex for my headlights until I said the truck never brought quad lamps the passenger head light will always go out so if I ever decide to get their tail lights I’ll just leave that on

The ram oem halogen tail lights are stupid expensive also. Recommend lots of dielectric grease on all connections

If you use alpha obd you can select led. Or you can run capacitors

Do you have to reprogram anything after doing this?

Just an fyi, the reverse lights are the same for both the led's and the halogen. you didn't need to make a new harness for the reverse lights.
