Garden soil isn't heavy and if you need aeration and something to retain moisture without spending anything on growing medium then you should do as i do ... first line the base of you're pots with an inch of rocks if its a smaller pot use less then top the rocks off with some wood chips and or sticks or logs depending on the size of your pot or growing container then top it off with leaves either green or decayed then finally soak the debris sticks and rocks and top the pot off with some soil from either you're garden the ground basically any natural soil that's not from a bag will do just fine ...place you're plant in and cover around the plant with mulch this will keep you're soil moist of course never use cedar as a mulch or debris for the pot as they are allopathic plants and can stop you're plant from growing ..now you have a miniature hugelkulture filled with carbon and nitrogen that will hold in moisture and provide aeration for you're plants and its all from the yard ...natural and not a dime spent especially if you can recycle buckets as growing containers

GaucheGarden, why don't you add fertilizers? Also, people who advocate adding perlite have normally been reading articles on how to grow cannabis. Apart from making sowing/cutting mixes, perlite is not good to use in a potting mix. Horticulturalists do not use perlite in this way, it's people in america that used to grow pot but didn't know what potting up was that started using perlite in their potting mixes since the mix used to go anaerobic and sour. Silver sand or coir is much better.

I never said there is anything wrong with cannabis, did I? 'Most greenhouses' do not use perlite for growing mature plants. Not in the UK anyway. Perlite is normally only used for seedling mixes. If you want to lighten your mix, coir is a much better alternative, and doesn't give off toxic dust, so I see no reason to use it in containers anyway.

Signs, wonders, miracles, visions, water baptism, laying on hands, speaking in tongues, etc.., were for the Jews, the Dispensation of Times Past and Times to come (that's the Tribulation period). We are in the Dispensation of Grace and Paul is our apostle to the Church (Believers in the Body of Christ). Dispensation of Times to Come, is not that far away, it will come right after the Church is raptured (caught up). Right after the Church Age ends, it will be the Times of Jacob's Trouble (tribulation period will take place right after). Please know your Doctrines, rightly dividing the word of truth, so you can have SOUND DOCTRINE. 2 Timothy 2:15 KJB If anyone is reading this message, please read 'till the end and I pray that you will get washed and saved in the precious blood of the Lamb, who is our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Ephesians 5:16 KJB - 16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. We are in the end times, what's happening in the world right now is just a sample before the tribulation will take place right after the rapture of the Church (all Believers who are in Christ Jesus, saved in the Gospel of our Salvation in 1 Corinthians 15: 1-4 KJB) What's going to happen during the tribulation time, will be hell on earth. So please everyone, get saved NOW before it's too late for your souls (those who are lost and continue to sin, even when they know the truth). God's wrath is upon you, sinners in the hands of an angry God. How can a lost soul get saved? Here's how you can get saved by BELIEVING The Gospel of our Salvation in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 KJB - [1] Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; [2] By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. [3] For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; [4] And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: Jesus Christ gave this Gospel to Paul who is our apostle to the dispensation of the Church Age of Grace, so that lost souls can get saved. It's the ONLY Gospel that saves lost souls!! Ephesians 2:8-9 KJB - 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. 2 Timothy 2:15 KJB - Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. Praise God ALWAYS, Amen!! Please get saved before it's too late!! There's 1 Eternity to choose from, Heaven or Hell, choose wisely for your souls!! Grace and Peace to all in Christ!!

Seriously? Sandy soil is about the worst thing you can have in your garden. Clay might be worse. Sandy soil compacts and doesn't give plant roots any room to grow. Sand is also devoid of any organic material and nutrients. The best soil for a garden will be lite and soft and will be able to hold water and/or drain easily. Sand is pretty much the opposite. There's a reason why very few plants grow in the desert.
