Ahhhh, another *comment* from the Legend! I'm really glad you enjoyed the video, awesome to see you here as always! I'm pretty happy with the way the sleeves turned out as well, I think the base throwback is cool! Although, now I'm missing a Venusaur from the set, lol! Maybe I'll have to make another one! I'm not sick, lol, but thanks for your concern! I did get a new mic recently actually, so I think that's what you're hearing! I'm still learning it, and you're right, it's definitely not perfect! Could use a little extra base, maybe the compressor is a little heavy too, I'll look into it! I never really realized it before, so thank you actually! I've been listening to this over and over while it's editing, so it's hard to pick up on these things

Unfortunately not worth that much though, you're looking at around $5, so on a scale of 1-10, 1 being a regular common, and 10 being a base set Charizard, you're probably looking at a 5! Not bad!

I’m happy to help :D I actually made a video on Pokémon card rarity recently, maybe this will help: How to Find if Your Pokémon Cards Are RARE or EXPENSIVE! kzread.info/dash/bejne/jGuBrauEgLDbZJc.html But in short, a standard V, VMAX, or VStar (such as your Mawile) are the “lowest tier” of super rare cards. Still rare cards, but there are definitely more rare. If you watch the video, these are equivalent to a double rare. Your Calyrex V, being a full art, would be the next tier after that. In the video, equivalent to a double white star, ultra rare. Although, this Calyrex could be a lot more rare, depending on the cad! Already as a full art, it’s quite desirable. You’re definitely looking at at least, closer to $10-$20, but it could be more. There are “alternate art” Calyrex cards, which in the video would be equivalent to the double gold star, special illustration rare. These cam fetch closer to $50-$100!

I think actual sleeves have better plastic to prevent scratches sandwich bags are heavier duty plastic so idk would you put a psa 10 1st ed zard in one or would you use a store bought sleeve

Out of the three starters, I will say Venusaur. Mostly because I have a small collection of Venusaur cards including a base set holo. Most of these cards I found were just by pulling from packs so he just sorta became my favorite.

Solid choice! I love Venusaur too! I named mine Caesar when I played red and blue haha! And actually, Primal Groudon became one of my favorites, and is somewhat of a mascot, only because it was the first card I pulled when I started collecting again! Lol!

Don't worry, I'm not that old, lol! I started with Soul Silver, and got back into the games with ORAS. I got really into it though, and tried to play all the games from earlier... On en emulator of course though lol, some of those games are crazy expensive! (For legal reasons I owned them all before emulating them haha)

@Scott Anderson There are a couple different versions of Penny actually, so I'm not exactly sure. Though, most hits in the Scarlet and Violet set (where those are from), are worth about $5-$10. Well, I'm not entirely sure what that is, but if you think it'll substitute, then sure! It's not really strict on the cardstock paper, just as long as it is something somewhat thick!

It keeps getting wrinkled? Hmm, that’s strange, I haven’t ever had that happen personally… I’d say it’s probably the ziplock bag you are using, maybe switch it out for something tougher, if you have?

Hey, this is pretty neat! I’ve tried making sleeves before, but I didn’t really trust them with my valuable cards. One thing I’ve learned for that is the smaller plastic bags don’t work as well since the texture on them is a bit more “clingy” and isn’t very good for sleeves. it still works, but if you want to protect your more valuable cards I’d use the bigger ziploc bags. Awesome tutorial bye the way and I love the calm vibe of the channel. keep it up!

Thank you so much! Actually, the "calm" vibe is something that I've been going for a lot more recently. I've tried to do the more upbeat "hyper KZreadr" type personality, but honestly that's just not me! I'm naturally kind of calm, so I'm really glad you enjoy that! And yes, you're exactly right about the plastic bags. Smaller ones definitely work, but freezer bags or other lathe bags are definitely the best---the strongest. That's what I used in the video!
