Another benefit to mirrors if you have plants: well placed mirrors can help illuminate dimly lit areas so you can grow more plants.

lighting and specifically the color of light does so much! not only is it cozier to have warmer and dimmer lights, it feels more elegant and intimate. i have a lamp with adjustable tones so i can have bright, white light when i need it for working and dim orange and almost pink lights for reading and hanging out in the evening

Minimalism, monocromatic colors, large scale art work, reclaimed wood/solid wood, matte colors, iron/metal, brass, can really makes a house looks very expensive.

Perhaps not a tip on how to make your home look expensive, but if you want a small space to look bigger remember LESS IS MORE! Less furniture makes a space seem bigger!

My dad made us a bigger side table and will make a tv stand. Even cheaper than Ikea's wooden ones and will look 100% better. Also we found cheap square sofa tables with metal legs and we just changed the plastic top for wooden

Love these! I’ve started taking your advice and can see such an improvement in my space and mood. Specifically adding a large mirror, not hanging anything, and using light airy colors. More please! 🤍🤍

I personnally need colors around me to feel at home, therefore i am not a person for only neutral shades ;) And it is possible to have a flat feel more cozy and high quality with colorful items (i guess you just have to find neutral colors or natural materials to pair them with)

Hi! From Las Vegas, I've been following you for a few years now. While we dont have the tiny homes you have in europe here. I did live in a tiny studio made from a renovated detached garage for several years. I can't agree more with the mirror advice. People were surprised at how cozy and large it felt dispite the small size and my having painted the interior dark grey. Nuetral colors, interesting textures, timesless pieces, mirrors, natural materials (no plastic),etc. goes a looong way. I also bought pretty much everything from Facebook market soo... everything was dirt cheap

My personal taste is lots of bronze, copper, off-white walls, framed artwork, wooden tables with stain, and a general feeling of light/warmth. I personally prefer warm shades of white over cooler ones for example. Great video.

Thank you for sharing this! I'm doing a big move in late November/December and I'm only taking clothes/shipping a box or 2 and I am ready for a fresh start. I definitely will be on a budget where I will utilize thrift stores, vintage stores, apps for reused items, Craigslist, estate sales, and online groups before making way for Ikea. I'll be referring to your vids for alllllll the tips when the time comes!

A good coat of white paint. Makes a room look bigger too. Black or white paint on any ugly brassy looking fixtures or just replace them. In the US we have stores that sell unused building supplies or things that are taken from old building before they are demolished. I've found some cool light fixtures and furniture there too. Also don't be afraid to be creative with how you use things, we have an end table that is a broken hand drum, we replaced the top with glass. Everyone always asks where we got it from LOL.

Upcycled glass jars (after you wash off the labels and clean them out) are also nice tealight holders. And drying out flowers before they go bad is a nice way to preserve natural elements in your home on a budget. 😉 (either in a vase or on a wall) Finding Vintage postcards or pictures and picture frames in charity shops also helps give that homey nostalgic feels.

Strangely enough, realistic fake plants can be more expensive than the real thing! I found this out when reluctantly considering a fake plant to put on my very expensive and gorgeous mid century wall unit after a real plant left a mark from its weeping foliage! Eventually though I couldn’t bring myself to buy a fake plant so plants will be forever banned from my “special” furniture.

I prefer to live in color rather than elegance. Maybe I am a forever Toys R Us 50 yo kid. But than again, I recently got some off white sample paint and painted my cookie jars and colored vases and I am starting to like the lack of color look.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. This life isn't all there is, heaven and hell are very real but Jesus Christ loves you and can save you. If you will ask Jesus Christ with a genuine heart to please forgive all your sins, and come into your heart and please save you, he will save you and you will soon know how real he is. God bless.
