The biggest problem of customizing stuff is that you have to pay for armor variations, colors etc. to see whether they match each other no. There are so many spendings (or, better to say, WASTINGS) on things you'll just test and remove. Steel just goes down the drain.

yeah, I wish you could just select a bunch of stuff as "preview" by pressing a button, then once you're done selecting everything it'd give you a list with what you've selected, how much it costs in steel all together and the option to purchase all and equip.

I mean you have to get an item with the right skin before you can use it, so just dont dismantled the original. Thats what i do. I keep all the armors that i Think look cool, even if they have bad stats, so i can experiment with different looks.

I will say that steel also can gain quite quickly and sometimes forgotten materials can result in some very happy accidents later down the line, it's completely redefined the color palette of some of my sets and even the pieces there in to better fit, these are also almost always some of my best/most unique sets.

The only one that looks good imo is black paint on red medal. It doesn't cover all of it so it gives it a blood like affect. Other than that paint on metal is mid

Themes will always be better than solid palettes. Mix your paint patterns on different armor pieces together to create shapes of your own as well.

I like to find a gear with unchangable colors/materials, then make the rest of the outfit match that gear. I also enjoy making a hero match a weapon I like. Finally, for uniqueness: make sure all your gear are separate variants

My biggest thing for fashion is to try to focus on a theme from the start. Most of the time I try to find an effect that complements that theme, but they’re not always there. Sometimes the fashion comes before the effect, and sometimes the other way around. For example, my gladiator is a Poseidon cosplay with Ogenus effect, second outfit is Medusa cosplay with that effect, and third is Minotaur cosplay with smoke effect and the bull head ornament. The smoke effect complements the outfit for Minotaur, whereas the outfits for Poseidon and Medusa complement the effects

You should try Athena cosplay, there is a chest plate that fits perfectly with it, and the plume ornament makes for a good Athena.

I usually go by the, Less is more rule. Let the armor and base colors speak for themselves. Like you said, simplicity is best. Vivid colors should pop out, but still blend in with the rest of the set, give some personality. Oh, and dont forget about effects, obviously some effects go with any, but some need a base to look good, some fiddling. Usually of theres too much color or things to look at, it won't be good.

That warden fit looks like the ascendant lord, looks really good man

I wish there were more armore and weapon sets, that are rather basic and not overly fancy, yet retain a somewhat polished look. And don't get me wrong, i quite like the battleworn look of the standard sets (mainly talking about the knight sets), but changing metals on them still leaves them with a lot of rust undertone which results in a offset colouring. This makes them combi quite poorly with other pieces of the same hero. With the weapons I would especially wish for sets, that are more realistic in a function over form sense, but also, as mentioned, not terribly worn out. @Slanderous you mentioned something like that in your conversation with Freeze, if I recall correctly

Notably something you can do if your primary and secondary color don't clash you can get away with some very poppy third colors, I have a yellow dark brown warmonger with bright blue plume and arm straps to add pop and it can be a hard effect to get but very fun to experiment with how to pull off.

i only have one high rank hero, being kensei. And im pretty happy with how he turned out looks wise. the weapon looks fine too but i'm still searching for the really cool pieces for an awesome sword.

As an Aussie ill always love green and gold together that Warmonger 👌🏻

For me I rarely go with pieces that aren't a part of the same set it just bugs me if I ever do change something it's usually just the headpiece

Seeing your heroes look like this (which looks really good btw) makes me want to see a update focused on customization, I don't know how possible of a update that could be but it would be really nice if they made a update that focuses on one aspect instead of one that stretching itself thin on multiple aspects.

If you can slap green metal on your warmonger and be like "yup, that's the pinnacle of my creativity" then I'd rather not take tips from you.

My favorite fashion set is my DIO Nobushi. Yellow and green colors, Overdramatic victory pose, big green heart emblem on the belt, and a emblem that looks like The Worlds head. If you've seen Jojos I imagine running into me on the battlefield must be at least a little neat.

Fashion is subjective... Done, you make something that you like, I might hate it (like my views on your fashion, but im sure youll say the same about some of my heroes), i make something I like but you could hate it (same example as before), there simply is no right or wrong fashion, yeah you can get tips like this vid does but overall its up to the maker

Heavely depends on the hero, I try to give them 1 main color and work around that, on metal i straight up dont use color
